Do you listen to music when doing chores?

I didn't used to listen to music during chores very often but since I got my first pair of earbuds (about 6 months ago) I have been doing this a lot more! I like to listen to oldies, upbeat pop music, or chill lofi while I do chores depending on my mood.

Yes, I find it easier to get through them when I have something to listen to, though I don't always decide upon music.

I love to listen to music when doing chores. I find cleaning boring so to me listening to music makes it more fun.

surprisingly, chores are the one thing i do completely without music. i don't really have any particular reason for it, i just can't stand having music on while i'm cleaning. i guess it's just a focusing thing?? idk

Depending on me, it's either music or drama videos from youtubers I like, and just listen in the background as I get stuff ready.

It's a mixed bag. But if I do, it's usually me just listening to podcasts (usually MBTI related stuff) or an audiobook. But if it gets too distracting off they go.

Generally not. I just want to get any chores done as quickly and efficiently as possible, so I'm not really focusing on any background noise.

For me it depends on the chore. If I am washing the floor, the most likely not. If I am washing dishes, then I am more likely to want to listen while washing. I generally don't want to listen because I want to focus on the chore itself but for monotonous chores like washing dishes I'll maybe put the music on.

Yes! Either music, audiobooks, podcasts....I have to have something to listen to while doing chores, gardening, out walking, whatever.

My favorite things to listen to - 70s and 80s music, audiobooks of older books (like Flatland, lol), things with storylines, like Welcome to Night Vale, all kinds of stuff.

I hate doing chores so I listen to music every time, actually I listen to music whenever I have to do something I don't wanna do, makes it a bit easier for me

Yes I do all the time otherwise I won't clean I like the music to distract me and pass the time.

plus it makes folding and putting away laundry much less exhausting.

When I lived alone, I used to listen to audiobooks while cooking. I loved listening to memoirs where the authors read their own story. But yes, music was a great alternative when I didn’t want to think that hard.

Yeah, I generally do. I like dancing around the house to some good tunes and also singing. I feel like it makes it more fun to clean with music on. I also usually work with music on, but if I have to focus I'll turn it down or shut it off as sometimes the extra sound can be distracting.

sometimes! if i need to run a vacuum, i don't bother because i won't be able to hear the music over the vacuum.

but when i can, i love to play music.

I'm definitely more of a podcast person. Music is mostly for car and bus commutes.

All the time! I usually connect my bluetooth earphones as I find that listening to music helps complete housework quicker. I do love connecting my bluetooth speakers to my phone aswell, but I turn it up so loud I have to wait until my neighbours are out!
