Do you listen to Radio Stations?

i do because my local channel will sometimes mix in hits from the 2000’s. i don’t mind popular music but if it’s either “lose control” by teddy swims or “too sweet” by hoizer, i am turning the radio OFF. two of the most over played songs ever.

I listen to the radio in the car when I'm driving with one of my moms and I tend to drown it out because the radio stations where I live are really bad. They're either pop stations that play the most generic hits imaginable and the rest are oldies stations that play only cheesy stuff.

Yes. There’s this one station that doesn’t have any morning talk segments, which makes my commute a lit bit more tolerable. Some modern songs are overplayed; but they do have a good mix of playing 80s through present music.

yeah when i whip the old corolla i like to bump the radio
there's a morning show i like on a lil station called KROQ and i also like to listen to the class rap station as breakfast w/ The Beatles on Sunday mornins

My CD player just happens to also be a radio so I've been listening to a few stations as of recent. There aren't very many but I'll sometimes pop on the classical/jazz station or there's one that's kinda similar to triple j that's in my general area that I've been listening to, they play a good mix of genres I'm into so its been fun to listen to, sometimes they play a song I like but I haven't found anything I'm really into yet.

Usually, my local stations have very few ads and a pretty good reach over my whole city, which would be great if there wasn’t one small issue.
They only play the same five songs.
There’s even a Weird Al song about it!

I listen to SiriusXM a lot when I'm in the car going somewhere. If I don't like what's on the stations they have (I love the Lithium station, and the SiriusXM Turbo station the most ^^), I normally put my Airpods in and listen to something else.

I don't listen to typical FM radio, because the stations rarely play what I like, lol.

Very rarely. I used to enjoy listening to certain radio stations in the car, but I hate how they play the same songs over and over, and the commentary and commercial breaks in between songs are annoying. I only listen to my mom and I's shared music playlist on her phone when we go driving now, and only turn on the radio if I get sick of the playlist (which happens hardly ever) or if we're only driving a short distance.

I used to but now I just play music from my phone since I've brought a good amount of it for that reason alone.

Yeah. My car doesn't have bluetooth and it's a pain to set up my phone to play through the speakers, so most of the time I use the radio. If a drive is over 20 minutes, then usually I'll set up my phone.

As a child and teenager, I listened to numerous local radio stations a lot because at the time I didn't have a physical music collection nor much internet access (aside from that, today's popular music-streaming sites like Spotify didn't even exist yet). That was initially my way of discovering new music, and I did enjoy it for years (commercials weren't that big of an issue, either). But then the majority of my favorite stations started to gradually change. My most favorite one actually went from playing Alternative Rock and Metal in the mid-1990s and 2000s to Indie Pop in the 2010s before being bought out by some company. Now, all they play is whatever Pop music is trending.

If I listen to any radio stations these days, it's done over the internet. There are a bunch of different, cool stations from all over the country and world that you can stream (as an example, I'm currently listening to a station located in Japan, and they rarely repeat songs!).

I do when I’m in the car sometimes (I don’t have much data on my phone so streaming is a no go). I used to also use it to wake up to.
I live in Japan and radio stations here have a terrible ratio of song vs ad/talking time. It feels like they just play one song as an interlude, then it’s back to talking lol And trying to switch stations doesn’t work cuz they’re all be talking too. So instead I normally listen to the American military base station which has a normal balance.

I use to listen to a local station back in the day. But now I only listen to the Smooth Jazz channel on iHeart radio. If that counts.

I do because I drive a 20+ years old car and the CD player is broken. I do have a cassette player though, and every so often I will listen to the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack (yes it is designed exactly like in the movie!) But... yeah thats lame.

But I dont have bluetooth or satellite radio, so I listen to good old fashioned FM radio stations! There are some decent stations where I live, but yeah, so many commercials!

The back lighting in my radio doesn't even work, so I have to go by memory when pushing buttons and changing radio stations.

I wish I had something more modern 😆

I used to have the radio on to sleep. But I haven't done that in quite some time now so I haven't listened to any radio stations in quite some time now.
