Do you take things seriously?

Depends on the context. For most practical living things, yes (job, education, life goals, etc).
Other things (social situations, relationship, traveling/vacations, trying new things, etc), not so much.

I think so. I'm generally laid back but I can be serious when it comes to somethin I'm knowledgeable in (which isn't alot😛) or dead set certain on.

It really depends on the situation. I tend to take everything to heart, constructive criticism or serious events... and sometimes even when my friends tease me I tend to take it 100% to heart and I end up hurting my own feelings even though they had no malicious intent in the teasing... ;; But when it's people I'm used to talking to on a daily basis, it doesn't affect me as much. If someone tells me I'm a little too much for them, I'm going to freak out as that's something I'm insecure over to begin with LOL. I take everything way too seriously. I need to learn how to take things w/ a grain of salt...

I suppose it depends?

with humor, I rarely take things seriously, & consider myself a sarcastic person. I like humor, regardless of it being offensive or not.

However, if someone (as in, if I fall in love or whatnot), says something I'd consider offensive, I would freak out a bit because a part of me would feel like I'm not good enough for them & that they actually think I'm lame.

Or in general if someone mentions how socially awkward or quiet I am.

With other stuff like school or work, yeah I take 'em seriously.

Hm, even with my stupid and dark sense off humor, I can be serious when the time calls for it.

Nope l never took things seriously, l usually just like joking around and sometimes l'm in between sorta serious and not serious for certain things. But a lot of other people like on discord or on forums for games like taking things seriously with me because they don't understand jokes. But that hasn't happened in awhile, wonder why.
Actually more l think about it, l'm more on the side of being sad than happy or serious mad. So l don't know how to describe myself. I guess l'm only really serious when it comes to mother stuff that l have to deal with.

But l do notice your always seem to be happy and love to have fun talks.

I'd say it's actually a character flaw present in a lot of our system, we usually struggle to loosen up

I'd say... I'm both serious and not so serious. It really depends on the situation.

Also yeah I agree with everyone that it depends on the situation too, but for good or bad most people around me are a bit too serious or trying to be "good adults" so sometimes you get a bit sucked in which is like.. I appreciate your effort but I wish they'd be a bit more laid-back sometimes or I just catch them in a bad time?

Yeah I'd say I take things pretty seriously. I worry about most things and am very self-disciplined. That being said I think due to having social anxiety and constantly having deer-in-the-headlights face people think I'm even more serious than I actually am; I do like to laugh and have a sense of humour!

on the inside I take things really seriously and overthink everything to the point of anxiety. on the outside, people also think I'm chill all the time and that I'm not bothered by anything.

Saying that, I've also been told that I'm pretty intimidating. I think because I try to walk with an air of confidence, my face looks angry when it's neutral, and I have a very upright posture. I do most of this all because I don't like getting bothered by strangers lol.

I've always had a sense of humour, but it's pretty dry and sarcastic these days.

i'm very serious if i'm uncomfortable...
but as soon as i get comfortable, i have an inability to be serious lol

i think i've had to do a lot of work throughout my life to regulate my ability to tell when it's time to be 'serious' and when it's time to be 'goofy', because i can come off as very unprofessional and miss opportunities because of my goofy side. i'm still not all the way there.

i'm sure i appear very serious on this forum, but it's mostly just because i have this filter put in place- the keyboard- that is making me think about what i'm saying and who i'm speaking to before i act like a fool lol. & although im comfortable here im not surrounded by friends egging me on to be a total goofball & that probably helps lol

Depends, if its that serious then yes.
If its a joke, it also depends as well.
