Do you think all 8 of the Playable islanders will have the same skill set?

In new leaf, there was just one Mayor , and then the other three residents. Since in new horizons everyone is an islander without authority, do you think each character will have the same abilities?

I would love it if they were all equals.
In new leaf if I had to change a pwp, or ordinance, I would have to switch back to the mayor and so on, which was a bit annoying.

i have a feeling they might all have the same abilities. it's like a 50/50 chance haha
i never even thought of this tbh- we'll know soon though! (it's sooo hard to be patient about this game)

i think we might all be equals this time around, since the mayor role seems to have been left in new leaf and we’re all just regular islanders now lol
