That's kind of what I'm asking you? D:

I'm just wondering if the dashes are a big deal (since thebelltree is used by a Koren (or something) site). Dashes might be hard for guests or newcomers to remember.

I totally aggree with one and two of the cons.

When I'm on a different computer, I sometimes forget that there are dashes. X D

Personally, I think it looks better without the dashes. Also, I doubt anyone would think about putting dashes in the link, if they're searching for the site for the first time.

But since thebelltree is taken, is tbt available?

No.

Neither is belltree.

I contacted the owner of belltree.com. We wouldn't be able to buy it unless we had a good amount of money. So if someone is will to donate the money to purchase that domain (which is a pretty nice one), let me know.

How much are they asking? If it's a lot, keep the current one.

The dashes don't matter to me, I just type in "The Bell Tree Forums" on Yahoo when I'm on another computer.

:p

Well we're probably going to keep it fyi. I think the only possible way to have a different domain name is to change the name of TBT. Which isn't going to happen. But I don't think the dashes are too big of a deal anyway. Sometimes people say don't go with them because you have to explain the name of it (example if you're telling it to someone: "Oh yah, the URL is the bell tree dot com, except there are dashes between the word... i mean it's the dash bell dash tree dot com..."), but I don't think people typically refer TBT to other people while talking. Since it's just a website, and not a website for a business or something like that, people are usually referred to it with a link.

Besides opinions (of whether people like it or not), that wouldn't accomplish much because the "problem" with the dashes is that it's not the same exact thing as saying it, "the bell tree". thebelltreeonline would be even more different.
