Do you hate barold?

Hate's a strong word, but I don't even dislike Barold! I think he's fine, he's just doing his thing!

I like his eyes and his little tuft of fur on his head! I also like his catchphrase ("cubby"), and that he has the play hobby! I enjoy that there are a bunch of unique-looking villagers.

I think he would look pretty cute with some new frames, so if he was on my island, I'd gift him some new glasses options! I don't like his default shirt, but I don't like that shirt in general; it's not specific to him!

I honestly wish they made his beard better.
I also do have six tiers that I personally group villagers into: Dreamies (Tier I), Council (Tier II), Ordinary (Tier III), I'd take you if no one else is there (Tier IV), I don't like you but I can sometimes tolerate you (Tier V) and I ****ing hate you, get off my campsite/you wasted my ticket (Tier VI).

Barold is in Tier VI, hence my use of Hate.

Oh yeah I'm asking because I sure as hell do. I just heavily dislike his appearance, like what is he, a discord mod??? a creepy old man??? goodness gracious I think even voldemort looks better than him.

Actually hell yes, I would refuse to be someone's friend if they looked like that. Appearance is definitely one factor when considering friends.

And this is why I always thought villager tier listing is super shallow. If you won't be someone's friend based on how they look sorry but you're not a very good person or friend.

I like Barold....even though he directed a dark threat towards me in New Leaf.I've always thought that his glasses look like a fighter pilot's goggles.

I don't hate him but I do find his art style a bit creepy. I haven't had him on my island but I wouldn't care if he joined for a bit.

He's one of the few villagers I always found just too creepy looking. Reminds me of him randomly showing up in my New Leaf town and me trying so long to get him to leave. Nothing wrong with anyone liking him, just not my preference.

I don’t hate him but I do find him somewhat unsettling. Can’t give much more of an opinion than that cause I never had him although I have no interest in having him.

I absolutely love this bear because hes ugly cute. Don't love his default shirt but hey we've all got different tastes in clothing. I just love how unique he is compared to some other villagers, and I actually think his beard, eyes and lips are cute, and his lil tuft of hair is adorable, and the lazy type is my favourite. I 100% can see why ppl don't like him tho.

He's definitely not the best looking villager. I’m not sure why they chose to design him like that, but I don’t actually hate him.

I don’t really like him too much. He sort of comes off as looking a bit racist to me and I’m not sure exactly what it is to make me think that. I know with O’Hare I feel uncomfortable with him because his coloration unfortunately is too close in my opinion to being black face which is why I don’t like him. Barold I’m not sure what it is that makes me uncomfortable with him.

No. I wouldn't have him on my island but I don't hate him per se. I don't really have any negative views on villagers except for one snooty monkey and that is because she made my NL experience very exhausting and so she is a hard dislike instead of hate. AC is supposed to be a laidback game for me so I wouldn't want to waste any energy like that.

Honestly, I also wouldn't have Barold on my island but I also don't particularly like or dislike him. His built-in glasses are cute and I like his hair tuft. Coincidentally he looks JUST like a friend of my friend which is funny to me.

Its nice that there's a good bit of variety in villager designs. Seeing ones with unconventional designs is always fun, even if I wouldn't care to have them on my own island!

I know Barold isn't really that appealing but I don't hate him. I wouldn't mind having him as a villager though. He's not really high on my list though so many other villagers will be prioritized over him.

I don’t hate him since I don’t hate any of the villagers. I have never had him and wouldn’t kick him out if he randomly showed up one day. I haven’t had him so not sure about him. I have had some villagers I wasn’t sure about randomly appear and really grew to like them while they were on my town/island.
