Do you think we will meet the 2 starting villagers in the plane before we land?

In previous games, we would arrive at an already populated village.

This time around, when we take Rover?s questionnaire in the plane, do you think the game will show us who took Nook?s Deserted Island Getaway Package with us ? Does that sound logical? That way if you want to reset, you can do so earlier, for example.

As I said in another thread, my guess is that the process will be similar to Mario Party where six computer players are already chosen and depend on which difficulty you want go for. You can see three pairs of characters in front of you and the one you choose will celebrate/be happy.

I think you will get three maps to choose from and see three pairs of villagers who already settled for one of these maps. Then you can jump in the plane that brings you to the island of your choice. In the plane, the villagers might already talk to you and ask about your name and appearance!

I don't think we will.

Because if we didn't want them on the island, we could start over until we get villagers we want.

Nintendo aren't going to make it that easy. IMO.

Well. It’s already the case. It’s just that you meet them after getting out of the train.

In Wild World, we didn't know the map until we got to the town hall. In New Leaf, not only do we see the map on the train, but we get 3x chances on picking the map. Nintendo made it super easy.

i don't see why we shouldn't. i'm imagining our player character on the plane face to face with rover or some other NPC. then off to the side we can get a partial view of the villagers who will be joining us in their own plane seats. then we'll be asked our starter questions and choose a map and all that.

at least that's how i imagine it will go.

I was going by your topic title. :)

My response was to that. :)

i think they'll be on the plane with us because if im remembering correctly, a trailer showed fuchsia and another villager leaving the lil plane's landing station building with the player villager. so either they'll be waiting for us in front of the building or be on the plane with us, but since it's a DESERTED island it's most likely that they'll be on the plane with us.

How is it easier or less easy to reset if you see them in the plane rather than one minute later? You can rush through the process after one or two tries. In New Leaf, I've resetted the game about 30 times and it didn't took me too long (and you had to go through talking to Rover without seeing your villagers).

Regarding the fear of not being able to reset at all: I'm sure resetting will still be possible. Just because a game auto-saves doesn't mean you can't just delete or overwrite the autosaved data and restart.

What I said was fairly simple and easy to understand.

If they're on the plane you can see who they are you can turn the power off instead of going through the questionnaire, then seeing who is on your island when you reach the map screen.

I understood that and replied that I don't think it's any easier or less easy than skipping through the rest of the questionnaire just like in any other AC game. It doesn't have anything to do with Nintendo don't wanting to make it that easy for us. Just as I already stated in the comment you quoted. :)
