I know we have the movie/series threads but if I’m honest I probably watch documentaries more than I do either of those!

what documentary have you watched recently?

im currently watching seaspiracy! I also watched the bleeding edge (both on Netflix and very insightful although both may be hard to watch and are quite gory)

Not sure if they count, but I love watching documentaries on how video game companies start out, or their games etc.

I think the last one I watched was on the creation of Breath of the Wild. 😅

The most recent documentary I watched was David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet. It was so moving and tragic.

I'm looking forward to watching Life in Color now that that's available on Netflix. I'll probably get around to it in another week or so since I want to finish up some other series first.

I watch a lot of nature documentaries, but also sometimes history documentaries, especially of Ancient Egypt. I've watched a few on serial killers too. Basically any subject that I find interesting.

The last ones I watched were on cats on Netflix and one about a guy who saved this lion (actually, not sure if that was a documentary). I don’t watch tv anymore. I should though since i do love history and documentaries 😅.

Other documentaries that I watched but not recently are Ken burns civil war (my favorite) The 50 years war (they had some stuff mixed up according to my professor but still very good; I ended up buying it from amazon or somewhere), Secrets of Egypt’s Lost Queen, The Weight of Chains, Iran and the West, The Fog of War. Three or four of these were videos I watched in college that I liked a lot.

i watched a mini documentary on honey pot ants recently, the pictures always make them seem alot bigger than they really are. they’re about the size of grapes irl. i actually kinda hate that they’re built like that,, with literal honey double their size stored in their butts... it’s like the opposite of evolution.

I recently watched "Jonestown: The Women Behind The Massacre"! It's interesting, cuz it's not all about Jim Jones, but some of his influential right hands. It's a different take and really interesting!

I recently watched a documentary about women's heart attack symptoms and all. They're often under-diagnosed and while men's heart problems are more frequent, women tend to die of them more often.

The last one that I watched from start to finish was The Vanishing at Hotel Cecil. I thought that they dragged out the case too much for my liking.

Especially, when they interviewed those fanatics whose investigations and conspiracy theories brought nothing. Those fanatics’ witch-hunt just tormented the heavy metal musician (I forgot his name) for a crime he didn’t commit and it was infuriating to watch.

A good one to watch is American Murder: The Family Next Door. It’s about the 2018 murder of an influencer named Shannon Watts and her two daughters. My sister watched this one from the start, but I joined towards the middle and stayed. Although saddening, it was interesting seeing the timeline of events in an...intimate manner (seeing her texts, vlogs, and etc.)

Oddly enough I've watched quite a few on Netflix this past month as I've run out other genres to watch, so far I've watched the following:

Surviving R.Kelly
This Is A Robbery
One Of Us
Why Did You Kill Me?
Audrie & Daisy

That sounds so interesting!! Do you have any recommendations? 😊
I love watching travel documentaries and pretty much anything travel related.
not sure if you’ve seen it but I absolutely loved dark tourist (I think that’s what it was called) on Netflix 😊

also how could I forget, I’ve watched pretty much everything by Louis Theroux and I love his documentaries so much!

I almost became a marine biologist so I love watching the Blue Planet hahaha. My mom and I also watched this documentary a few months ago about dogs and their brain/instincts that was on the discovery or animal planet channel and it was very interesting. Basically I like watching documentaries that are biology related. I'm not really into those crime or murder ones because although I think they are interesting, I find them too sad most of the time and they bring down my mood.

Watched an Attenborough documentary the other day.

Pretty much anything with David Attenborough is worth watching. :)

I just finished watching Ken Burns' documentary The Roosevelts: An Intimate History. It chronicles Theodore, Eleanor, and Franklin Roosevelt, and was very interesting.
