Favorite Songs From Your Favorite Artists' Albums?

My favourite singer songwriter is handsdown Jon Bellion.

My favourite album overall would be Glory Sound Prep, I love the album artwork from all his work though.

My favourite song from the album is Stupid Deep, I can listen to the whole album on loop without getting bored though.

Final Destination from Coldrain's first album and thats the song that really got me hooked onto the band since that day i listneed to that song.

Kokomo, IN is my favorite song from Jubilee by Japanese Breakfast. It’s such a happy song that makes me truly feel alive.

Pitseleh on XO by Elliot Smith is somber and melancholic in his signature way. The lyrics are decent, but the melody is what makes the song stand out.

I waited many years for Ricky Montgomery’s newest album Rick after being obsessed with his debut album as a teenager, and it’s hard to choose a favorite song from it. I think it’s One Way Mirror. It’s such an atmospheric opening song that screams Autumn for me. The rest of the album is great too and I can only think of one song on it I dislike.

Laspe in New Neighbors by Homecomings was used as the opening song to my favorite romance anime ever, Insomniacs After School. I haven’t read the translation to the lyrics, but the song is bittersweet, nostalgic, and passionate. It stands out from what is mostly a rock album.

I like the surrounded by hounds and serpents album by Powfu. My favourite song from it is probably washing off the blood.

My favorite artist is Layne Staley, best known as the singer for Alice in Chains. He also did one album with Mad Season.

Alice in Chains (Facelift): "Confusion"
I don't know what it is about this song, but I absolutely love it! This happens to be the only song Mike Starr, their original bass player, sang backup vocals on.

Alice in Chains (SAP): "Right Turn"
The vocal harmonies are amazing. Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog) and Mark Arm (from Mudhoney) were guest singers on this one.

Alice in Chains (Dirt): "Down in a Hole"
It's a dark song, but it sounds beautiful. To me, music isn't about lyrics at all. It's about the way the instruments/vocals sound. Staley's voice has a haunting sound to it and the guitar/bass sound sad. Even the drums have a melancholic quality to them.

Alice in Chains (Jar of Flies): "Don't Follow"
This one starts off slow with their guitarist singing the lead. Then Staley comes in with some harmonies. They go back and forth until the harmonica solo. This builds to Staley unleashing the full power of his voice at the end.

Alice in Chains (Alice in Chains): "God Am"
Such a cool guitar riff. Staley sounds angry. So good!

Mad Season (Above): "Long Gone Day"
Guest singer Mark Lanegan did some cool harmonies with Staley. The sax solo is great. A chill song.

R.I.P. Layne Staley, Mike Starr, John Baker Saunders, and Mark Lanegan.

Man, I wanna say I love the EXO songs you chose! MAMA is one of my favorite k-pop songs. Same with Universe, as it reminds me of my boyfriend, lol. Lotto is also a banger!!!

My favorite artist at the moment, k-pop wise anyways.. Red Velvet! I will always be a Reveluv, so I'll go through their albums and choose at least one song I like from their albums. Well, the albums I've listened to fully, at least.

The Red - The 1st Album
Time Slip, Huff n Puff, and Cool World.
I wasn't the biggest fan of this album, but these are all good songs to me ^_^

The Velvet - The 2nd Mini Album
One of These Nights
It's such a cute slow song. Makes me feel cozy :3

Russian Roulette - The 3rd Mini Album
Fool, Bad Dracula, and Lucky Girl!
Lucky Girl is one of my favorites from this album, it's so upbeat and fun! I also like the other two a lot too ^^

Perfect Velvet - The 2nd Album
Peek-a-Boo, Look, and Attaboy
Love these ones! Peek-a-Boo is such a classic, in my opinion. Attaboy is catchy too :3 But it doesn't have that many listens -.-

The Perfect Red Velvet - The 2nd Album Repackage
Bad Boy and Time to Love
Everyone knows Bad Boy, lmao. But Time to Love is such a sweet song to me ;w; So wholesome and heartwarming T^T

Summer Magic - Summer Mini Album (MY FAVORITE ALBUM!!!)
Hit that Drum, Mr. E, Power Up, and y'know what? The rest of them too. LOL.
They perfectly encapsulated summer into one mini album, it's such a great album! I love the photoshoot for it too. I have the album with the picture book with it. I LOVE looking through it! Power Up's music video is also just.. AAA! I want to enter a showcase at a convention one day and do the choreo for it with friends!!

'The ReVe Festival' Finale
Jumpin' (probably my favorite Red Velvet song of all time), Psycho, and Zimzalabim!
Jumpin' is so so so catchy and I looove dancing to it so much. It's just such a fun song! I will listen to it on repeat for as long as someone will let me xD

Chill Kill - The 3rd Album
Bulldozer, One Kiss, Iced Coffee, and Knock Knock (Who's There?)
These are all exceptional songs, IN MY OPINION- not everyone will feel the same about my choices xD But I love all four of these songs so much. Red Velvet means so much to me and I have loved seeing them grow throughout the years. My babies ;-; I want to collect all the photocards from this era because it's soo iconic.

Cosmic
... probably Cosmic; since that's the only song I've really listened to. I love the MV for it as well.

Other albums that I missed... auuuh!

Ice Cream Cake - The 1st Mini Album
Stupid Cupid, and of course.. Ice Cream Cake.
Ice Cream Cake was one of the very first songs of theirs I listened to. I LOVED IT! Such a vibe, so iconic.

Rookie - The 4th Mini Album
Rookie and Happily Ever After
These are bops!!! Rookie rookie, my super rookie rookie rookie! :lemon:

The Red Summer - Summer Mini Album
Red Flavor and Zoo!
I love Red Flavor too much for my own good, I fear.. it's such a summery song!

Queendom - The 6th Mini Album
Better Be and Queendom!

Whew.. finally done. I want to listen to what I haven't listened to yet-- but I feel like this is already a hefty amount of albums xD
I LOVE Red Velvet!

Kill ‘Em All: (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth
Ride The Lightning:  Escape
Master Of Puppets: Disposable Heroes
Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good!: These Boots
Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying?: Good Mourning/Black Friday
Rust In Peace:  Lucretia
Youthanasia: Family Tree
I liked ZeldaCrossing64's post so I edited the songs I like from those bands in there. I'll add:

Super Collider: The Blackest Crow

I really should compile and share a mega playlist of my personal favorite songs from the 20,000+ songs I've got, but here's a few. I'll post and share more songs on future dates.

Boys and Girls (1985)
My goodness. Ferry sounds AMAZING on this album. The whole first side of the LP is a must-listen for those that like '80s love songs.
  • "Sensation" - Like how this one flows. The mixing is really good.
  • "Slave to Love" - The best vocal performance on the album.
  • "Don't Stop the Dance" - Nice beat.
  • "Windswept" - There was a month-long period when I played this song every day. It's that good. It even has a guitar solo played by Pink Floyd's guitarist, David Gilmour.
Future Games (1971)
The Bob Welch era from 1971-74 was my favorite. Also, this was the first album to feature Christine McVie as an official member.
  • "Morning Rain" - Christine McVie's first official song for Fleetwood Mac (though she did uncredited work on their previous album, Kiln House, this was her first penned song as a member and vocalist). It does sound pretty different from her later works, as it was sort of a transitional period between the Mac's popular period and the blues songs she made for Chicken Shack in the late '60s.
  • "What a Shame" - Yeah, it's an instrumental that lasts just over two minutes. What's special about it? Well, what many don't know is that it was supposed to go on for over 8 minutes, and it had lyrics. Had it been released as-is, it would've featured the only time that Danny Kirwan and Bob Welch traded lead vocals. It unfortunately had to be trimmed down and edited due to vinyl LP space restrictions and decisions by the band themselves. You can find it on the 1969 to 1974 CD box set.
  • "Future Games" - This simply sounds nice overall. Another gem that lasts over 8 minutes.
  • "Sands of Time" - Another good song by Danny Kirwan.
Bare Trees (1972)
  • "Child of Mine"
  • "The Ghost"
Duke (1980)
  • "Behind the Lines" - A great song to open the album. Full of energy and great instrumentation throughout. And yes, I am aware that Phil Collins made a solo version a year later that is much more pop-oriented, which I'm oddly not a fan of.
  • "Duchess" - One of my overall favorite songs, period. The lyrics are very easy to understand (it's a story told in the third person about a female performer's rise to and fall from fame), the musical key is at my sweet spot, and the keyboards Tony Banks used is mundo perfecto. It even starts slow when crossfading from "Behind the Lines", hits a powerful peak in the middle, then slows down again for "Guide Vocal". I love listening to the lyrical part on repeat.
  • "Turn It on Again" - One of the few daily radio songs I never get sick of. Again, the keyboards Tony Banks used is mundo perfecto. And let's not forget that bass line. It really gets you going.
Abacab (1981)
  • "Abacab" - Take the energy from "Behind the Lines" and expand on it further. Boom, you got "Abacab". The album version has an extended outro, which despite sounding repetitive, makes for good background music.
  • "Dodo / Lurker" - Dodo ugly, so dodo must die...
  • "Man on the Corner" - Nice slow song, without sounding too slow. It's got perky parts.
Stars (1991)
This is one of my overall favorite pop albums.
  • "Something Got Me Started" - Another great album opener. It even says so in the title.
  • "Stars" - Good segue sections, good lyrics, good singing.
  • "Your Mirror" - Like the lyrics in this one. It's about turning adversity into self-positivity.
  • "How Could I Fall" - A very nice song, despite being about a lover not understanding their partner's feelings.

I'll go with Tobias Forge, not all of his album because I didn't listen to all of his, and I also didn't include any of Ghost's EPs, but here are a few:

So Far So Noir from his band Subvision (2006): My favorite song in it is Room 611.
Opus Eponymous from his band Ghost (and all following albums are also from him in Ghost) (2010): Ritual
Infestissumam (2013): Idolatrine
Meliora (2015): Cirice
🤭
Prequelle (2018): Pro Memoria
Impera
(2022): Imperium & Kaiserion (I really can't choose, they both follow each other seamlessly and reminds me of the concerts I went to. Together they bring me chills! )
