Pokémon Does anyone else miss the Pokémon Contests?

One of my favorite parts of the older games was the Pok?mon contests and Pok?mon contest spectaculars, where you entered your Pok?mon to be judged on certain characteristics (toughness, beauty, coolness, cleverness, and cuteness). They would perform moves and you earned hearts based on the relevance of that move in that contest type, among other factors.
I especially loved it in Pok?mon Sapphire, it was one of my favorite pastimes when I had completed the game. And in the new rendition of Pok?mon Ultra Sapphire you got to dress up your Pokemon in these new outfits!!
Does anyone else miss these, or did you participate in them at all? I?m pretty disappointed I didn?t see it in Ultra Moon at all

I miss getting to deck out my milotic in all those decoration things in gen 4

I also miss milotic/feebas being super hard to get

I hope for a gen 4 remake

No, if there was anything I hated them so much and the annoying Feebas/Milotic factor... ugh. Also some rounds were cheat as hell so yeah lol.

I don't really miss them but I did enjoy participating in them back when I played Sapphire. I'm still proud of sending my Arcanine all the way through the Master Rank in that game

I don't own any Pok?mon games, so no.

My favorite part of Pearl! I think they would look great in the new games, I'm kinda bummed out that they didn't include anything like that.

I was never too into Contests. I enjoyed them well enough when I actually participated in them in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, but never really bothered in the other games. Although the Super Contests of Sinnoh are apparently different than the Contests in Hoenn, you can more than likely look forward to their return in the eventual Diamond and Pearl remakes that are practically assured to come out in the (probably near) future.

Gen 4 was my first gen so I'm extremely biased, but yeah I miss the absolute heck out of the contests. I would play and replay them for hours and hours and hours, and make poffins, and feed my pokemon.

I miss them as well. I enjoyed getting more ribbons for my lil Pok?mon via contests. I enjoyed the contest "mini game" a lot more than the slot machines lol.

I also started Pokemon with gen 4 and am very biased towards the contests there, but yeah, I miss contests. I wish it wasn’t just one of the things GameFreak decided to remove entirely later down the line. :/

I rember having a Ninetails I used in those contests. That was before I took a long break in playing pokemon. The next generation I played was 7. Good days.

I always liked the idea, but I never liked the actual execution of them. Can't say I ever spent much time in the contests since they felt so bare bones and trivial to me.

contests in gen 4 are the ones i miss the most. my favourite was dressing up pokemon and unlocking the different accessories, it was one of the most memorable parts for me playing back then. the musical in gen 5 was a lot of fun too. most of it comes from nostalgia though, replaying them wasnt as fun as i remembered them being (especially the acting competition) i just wish they improved on the idea instead of removing it altogether.

Contests were so fun and I wish they'd make a return. I never could beat the final rank of them, though. I wasn't good enough at making Pokeblocks to max out a single contest stat, and I remember being in the third grade when gen 3 was out so I didn't really know much enough about looking up a guide on the internet. I had a physical book walkthrough which made not a lot of sense when it came to contests, and I had to get my mom to try and help me make sense of it.

I do remember enjoying them though and yeah if they could come back that'd be neat.

I didn't play OR/AS but I adored the Pok?mon contests in R/S/E. I was so disappointed when they took them away and that disappointment has never truly gone away, lol. They were probably my favorite "minigame", next to the Pok?athlon in HeartGold and SoulSilver (which was incredible)

Oh those were some good times. While I didn't pay much attention to them back in R/S/E I was very much involved with them in ORAS. Would be nice to ever see it again.

Aw, yes! I was just playing Platinum hours ago and I did a few contests. I did terrible though, just like I remember. Also lol Fantina's AI is so dumb and her Drifblim gets 0 points over and over in the 3rd round.

In a nostalgia way, yeah kind of. I never liked contests THAT much but getting the ribbons were pretty cool
