Does anyone know when someone should get wifi rating?

For example i am the host and i do giveaways. Do i have to submit a wifi rating?

You never have to submit a WiFi rating. But when someone leaves you a rating, it's polite to return the favor. Basically, whenever I connect with someone here and it isn't just a drop in and leave to help them with their train station sort of visit, I leave them a WiFi rating just to show people they are a reliable person, since many of us will check those if we have to rely on them coming to our town and potentially mucking up a trade or sale or messing stuff up in our towns.

So, just whenever you feel like doing so, do so!
It's never necessary, it's just nice.

I try to remember to leave wifi ratings every time I trade or visit someone, unless they have an abundance of them already (like, hundreds of them). It helps to build a user's reputation and though I've been trading on this site for a few weeks now I still ALWAYS appreciate receiving a rating. It's not always needed, but like manofico says, it's a very nice thing to do.

Honestly it's 100% up to you.

For me:

If it's a trade between item/item, item/igb, item/tbt, igb/tbt, and I am on the receiving end of the giveaway I will always leave a wifi rating.
If I'm doing a giveaway and the person in question was not being nice (not saying thank you and don't even bother to wifi rate first) I will not leave that person a rating.

I left feedback freely when I first joined. I wanted to thank people for being a nice host, a nice visitor, a good trader, etc. But I've left way more than I've received and I'll admit I'm not happy about that. Now I only leave feedback for people who leave feedback for me unless they gave me something for free. If someone offers me a gift, I'll give them feedback right away and I'm okay if they don't.

Wi-Fi rating is generally given right after a trade. Not everyone gives rating after a trade but I try to at the very least because why not? Leave a friendly comment about how the trade went and inform other TBT'ers what it was like to trade. Regardless of whether or not I get Wi-Fi rating, I'll always end up leaving a rating because it is a polite thing to do, that and who knows. Maybe the other person is waiting for you to give Wi-Fi rating before they give their own rating.

I think it's just a good thing to do.

BUT- It can go fork road;

1: You get a wifi rating from trading or etc and u return it to them out of respect and thanks and etc.

2: You just decide to because they gave you stuff or their a friend or trading.

That's basically it though. A wifi is basically a gift. You give and recieve it and you give it away to people for reasons.
