do you collect a bunch of the same collectible?

i don't go for multiples anymore because it's not worth the effort, but i have five wix candies (obviously LOL) that are my babies! i love halloween and anything dark/spooky themed, so they're a perfect match for me.

i also have five black feathers, which probably took several years off my life in the process of attaining them, but i love them dearly as well. it's corny, but i'm a huge fan of edgar allan poe and black feathers instantly make me think of the raven, so i gravitated to them pretty fast.

Not really. For some collectibles, like the Yellow Candy and Famous Mushroom, I do have several of them, but that's mostly just because they're cheap and have been rereleased so much. When it comes to somewhat less common/cheap collectibles, I do like to have multiples of some of my favorites, but usually only if the timestamps are at least a few months apart for lineup purposes. One example would be my Yellow Crescent Moons, of which I have two. One is from the space camp event and forms a rainbow when paired with with my other Crescent Moon collectibles, and the second one is dated Feb 28, 2024. It came from my fortune cookie from the Lunar New Year event last year, and I've gotten some good use out of it as well due to its date. I would love to get some of the newer Star Fragments and Mushroom Lamps as well at some point

There are a lot of collectibles that I have 2 or 3 of but I usually stop there. A couple of exceptions: I have a row of 5 white violets generously given to me by @/The Pennifer, 5 plum blossoms, 8 red envelopes, lots of red roses, and I have a total of 7 green star fragments.

admittedly yes, i have.... a whole row of heart wands but i cannot for the love of god recommend ever hunting these wands unless you have an insane amount of tbt or luck i just got extremely, and i mean extremely, lucky with raffles to be able to have multiple heart wands. still, i dont really collect them for their "value" but because heart wands are one of my favorite collectibles!!

asides from that, I have a full row of shooting star plushes and a row of alternating ghost kitty and friendly ghost plushies!! i love them so so much

Not really! I didn't participate in the collectible market before becoming a staff member. When I do get collectibles, I usually pick a few different ones. That said, I do have five froggy snowmen and five plum blossoms for some reason.

Most of the time I'll try to gather up 5 at most of a collectible, but sometimes I'll go for more, like I have 10 squid eggs

Aside from candy and flowers for spawning events, I've only ever done this with the mushroom lamps. I have a moon crescent line-up through a giveaway. For the most part, I like to collect a variety of collectibles as I can. There are certain collectibles I'd love to have a full set of, like Yoshi Eggs. Getting them would be hard and expensive though.

Yes I love having multiple of the same collectible! I like to have a minimum of 2 of the same collectible (if possible) so I can make symmetrical lineups. I don't usually go for more than 5 of the same; very very rarely do I want 10 of the same collectible.. I think the only collectible that I want 10 of is the Alien Plush!

I’d never do 10 of the same collectible, but if I really like a collectible/have an idea for a lineup, I might buy 2 or 3 of the same one. Then again, I’m a little weird in the sense that I prefer one-line lineups, so 2 or 3 of the same collectible feels like a lot to me lol.
