Does your Nook Store carry beach towels?

Beach towels are said to be available at the Nook 'n Go during the Summer.
(Last year was rough for me, so I didn't play everyday during the day). But lately, I've been checking the store, and it's either surfboards or fans in the "seasonal item spot".

So, uh, anyone else have a shortage of beach towels in their game?
Or have I just missed the choice few times the Nooklings put 'em out?

back in the summer for me, I don’t remember ever getting them either! I don’t know, maybe that isn’t how you get them?

I never saw beach towels in my nooks cranny I just ended up buying them from another player cause I was getting impatient.

I don’t remember seeing them at Nook’s last year . I have been checking daily to see what they have and no towels. I got mine from balloons.

I think I only ever got mine from balloons. Able Sisters is also meant to have seasonal items (in summer in particular, there's a mermaid dress, but I haven't seen these in my shop and I've been playing since launch). The RNG in this game can just be brutal

You get the mermaid dress from pascal as one of the possible rewards for giving him a scallop.
I think I have one if you want it.

I've seen the beach towel at my store once. But I'm pretty sure I just traded for one long before I actually saw it in store.

Oh the shell dresses
I'm not sure when the last time I saw them was, but I don't tend to use the able sisters any more now that I only use the one outfit XD

The beach towel won't be at the seasonal items section, it's a regular item. It's on sale at my store often enough, and it was there just last week.

That dress took me forever to find and I love it. I actually never did find it on my main island. Finally found out it on my second island.

Never encountered the towel in my shop. I believe I got mine out of a tree, but it may have been a balloon

I remember seeing them once. I’m pretty sure it’s random. I’m just glad they are customizable though!

i can’t recall the last time that i saw it in my nook’s, but i know that i’ve definitely seen it there more than once.

like @/CanuckChick said, it won’t show up where the surfboard and fan get sold; it’s a regular item, so it gets sold at the back of the shop. i’ve also seen it available for purchase through nook shopping (the application you access through an app on your phone or through the nook stop terminal at resident services) in the daily section, so it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on that as well if you don’t already! ^^
