he's been with us for over 8 months now, we had him since he was 2 months old and he was really picky from the start. we never give him human food because we don't know how dangerous it might be for him. we sometimes give him leftover grilled chicken bones but NEVER fried/spicy chicken. the only "human" food I've ever given him was two tiny pieces of red and green apples (the size of a tooth) but it was that only one time and that was a long time ago~
we check on his health regularly and he's healthy!

That's good, but still watch out with the bones since you cook them first! Cooking = not as soft = more likely to become a choking hazard.

In general, you and your family should probably be more strict and discipline your dog more :/ If he's chewing on things you don't want him to, then make sure he knows and stops. If he pushes trash cans over, let him know that's not acceptable and make sure he stops. If he doesn't want to eat his food, don't let that push you into giving him other things. There's a reason why you should choose a good, healthy dog food for him because that's what's helping him grow and will affect his health in the future. Even if you think his eating habits are fine now, continuing bad ones could lead to bad situations.
I saw that you posted that dogs don't like dry food- I think this goes back to the discipline and and not giving him everything he asks for. The majority of the dog owners I know feed them kibble, and it's also the most stocked type of dog food in pet stores.

no we don't give him everything he asks for, we scold him when he does something unacceptable and he goes to training weekly, things like these take time
as for food, I've taken tips from posts here plus what the vet told us, he said not to give him canned food and that he should stick to dry food/kibble but we're still trying to find something he likes because out of the 20+ types we got him he didn't stick to anything. he still eats his food but you can tell he hates it

With all the negativity around including from me I think we should also mention that there are also a lot of human foods out there that are actually very good for dogs. I've always given my dog some apple and salmon now and then not only to vary but also because some nutritions in human food will never be able to be put in dog food.
I was suprised to see cheese mentioned here as a thing that dogs shouldn't be eating. I've never given cheese to my dog myself but I know a lot of people do. I don't think it will hurt in any way if your dog isn't lactose intolerant.

Honestly if the dog food is good for him and he still eats it, you don't need to keep switching around :) I think 20+ types of dog food in 8 months is way too much, and is a sign of him controlling your family vs. the other way around. You said yourself that he's spoiled and picky, so I'm just giving you tips to regain control over him and not let him run your household (or else even more problems will arise regarding posessions and 'alpha'-ness D: )

I put a disclaimer LOL: It may seem like me and other people are scolding you and bringing you down, but I think a lot of us just want you to have a good relationship with your dog, and for both of you to be in good health. Your first post probably worried a lot of us, and I'm sure most who have commented have just wanted to make sure your dog stays healthy and lives a long, good life ;; And I think any dog owner can take critique/tips in terms of that! **Especially when you said yourself you don't know a lot about owning a dog

well, it was expected because there are so many different opinions here and people disagreeing with each other
however with the posts from people that are directed to me, I wouldn't strait out call it "negativity" but more "enlightenment"
no one was arguing here but are politely stating their opinions and took their time to right a meaningful advice that I respect. but "With all the negativity around including from me" sounds like someone's looking for an argument
