Dollhouses and Miniatures

Bought some wood today for my dollhouse, and I really hope to keep updating this. I am going to be slightly altering my dollhouse design so I have more room in the attic to put actual furniture, I was going to do a "short" attic where the apex would be at 6inches but then with the tapered sides there would be next to no room for any furniture. So I figured doing the triangle tall ways it would be 12inches at the back and taper down so I can at least have tall furniture towards the back and have more stuff and "clutter" in the attic like I wanted. So this is how I am going to be doing it now

I might still need a few more pieces of wood for the patio and entry area that's going to stick out, but maybe I can use the extra "roof" piece I wont be using. I guess I'll figure it out as I go =D

It's quite fun, especially considering I have 10 hours a night to work on planning it at work. XD I'm also slowly accumulating supplies for it and me and my family are going to work on the construction together!

AND there are about 20 or so sheets of graph paper covered in this stuff, I just simplified it and make a quick mock up on paint for it.

Where on earth do you work that you have so much time to be able to do crafty things while at work? I'm super jealous. haha

Ohhh they are great! I loveee miniatures so much, too bad I could never afford to collect them (currency exchange sucks) I love the Sylvanian families collection but they are sooo expensive and definitely Re-ment miniatures from Japan. Kitchen miniatures are always the best and yours are looking great! Can't wait to see more.

I was just about to say about Sylvanian families. I started collecting them and then I had a baby and could no longer afford to buy them

Where on earth do you work that you have so much time to be able to do crafty things while at work? I'm super jealous. haha

I work nights at a hotel so we're pretty dead for the 10 hours I'm here. So as long as I stay at the desk I have some free time to work on stuff I want. =]
