Dom's name is Chachamaru in Japanese?! (A thread to share names/phrases you prefer for villagers in other languages!)

I played in Japanese for a hot minute and Bea's name was Bagel, with I found super cute ♪
Pinky's was Tan Tan, which seems to be the name of a famous female panda from the 90's. :)

Coco's name in spanish is Cocoloca which is pretty cool! In Japanese it's Yayoi. Pietro's is Jupetti in Japanese which is also cool.

I believe Cousteau's Japanese name translates to "spring roll", which suits his house and style much better. Naming him after Jacques Cousteau for the English language versions seems a little obscure... I would've went with Hercule, or even Poirot, given his mustache, myself lol

Edit: I played NL in Spanish for a bit in secondary school and I thought that having "Socrates" for Blathers and "Estella" for Celeste was adorable.
awww I don’t know why but spring roll sounds like such a cute name for cousteau ;u;

I wish Dom's name was kept as Chachamaru too because I love saying it and it definitely matches his cuteness XD And just thinking about names, I actually wished a lot of their names were kept the same like C.J being Justin Beaver LOLOL.

I play in Spanish sometime and Biskit’s name Amnesio makes me laugh (it means amnesiac!)

Also they say some pretty intense things in Spanish, I love the dialogue so much.
