Donald Trump

Nobody could do anything in that regard then.
It'll be interesting to see how he'd **** up and how it'd change the requirements of becoming a candidate.
But no one wishes that for America, and with his canditacy racist political groups around the world have gained enough momentum to be a problem.
If he wins, 2016 will definitely be found in future history books.

Dude, seriously? We have like 3 threads already on him.

Donald Trump is like Cheetos. Both are orange and disgusting yet strangely addicting for some reason.

Sit back, put my legs up and continue being Canadian.

If Trump wins, Mexicans will be the lucky ones. At least they'll have a wall to protect themselves from Trump's madness.

I'm starting to get tired of these threads, and that's saying something when I created so many of them.
But, eh, I'll probably move somewhere else (like Japan or Australia) and let everyone deal with the mess Trump will bring.

i hate to say this but trumps policies will in no way affect me or my family at all and might actually benefit us economically so i really wouldnt do anything lol. i dont think he should be pres though.

eeehhhh
True, I'd be upset but it wouldn't really effect me much. Imo I prefer Trump over Hillary, just hoping a war won't start.

I would have a big smile on my face and laugh at how dumb Americans can be.

And continue living my sad, pathetic and meaningless life in my lovely country where shootings don't happen on a regular basis. c:

Sadly US politics plays a part in many aspects of life in Australia. Our economy weathered the gfc astonishingly well due to a combination of factors but generally much of our economy depends on how things are going in the US, U.K. and Europe, and China. The fallout from Trump being president would definitely be felt here financially. And his antics are covered in nauseating detail already in the media now, I shudder to think of the coverage if he's president..

---

To answer the question asked in the OP - which was succinct, open to everyone to answer as they please (not aimed at US only for example), and an actual question (rather than an opinion or a rant disguised as a question).. 3 things I am personally always glad to see -

If Trump becomes the US president I'll metaphorically watch the world burn for a day or two by reading and watching news coverage from around the world. And then I'll have to "unplug" indefinitely and block all that stuff out.

I often get most of my news from my partner who has the time and energy to sift through the dross and send me the essential links or recap events for me. There is so much covered every single day between the local, city, state, national, and international news and I honestly cbf trying to filter out celebrity/reality tv/drama-llama nonsense from the actual news most of the time whilst I'm so unwell.

Most recently I tuned out of the U.K. referendum after the polls had been open for several hours. I had been reading and watching coverage for months leading up to it, and spent the week leading up to the day doing little else but following that story and the many tangential stories that came up. But once I reached my limit, I was out. All tabs were closed, notifications muted, and I stayed away from social media for a week or so. I found out the result over dinner a day or so later and got occasional brief updates of the (predictable) woes for the next few weeks but aside from that I tuned out any mention of it online or in RL. I still do. At some point I'll feel like reading up on the stuff I missed but I'm in no rush, it's all just history now and there's a lot of history I'm keen to read up on before I'll get to that bit!

In the event of a Trump presidency I expect the pattern will be the same. With more direct, immediate consequences than the U.K. Referendum had on us, to be sure, and potentially with explosions and stuff (the US president gets access to some scary red buttons, right?).. I don't know what I'd do in that case but given that I'll still be recovering from surgery until at least February-March next year, I think I'd just be hoping the explosions aren't anywhere near me or anyone I love. Unfortunately there'd be nothing else I could do.
