Both the SSBU and Pokemon Lets Go limited edition Switches were announced roughly 2-3 months
before their game's release, and New Horizons is nearing 2 months until its release, and
I don't believe we should be expecting a special Switch for the game, as SSBU and Lets Go are
part of some insanely popular franchises.

If we don't have any news on a themed Switch by the end of the month don't keep your hopes too high 😞

Would anybody that currently owns a Switch really fork out again for an Animal Crossing themed one? I'm just interested in the game, not anything cosmetic.

This just feels like negative hysteria based on assumption. Let's just wait for the new direct and see.

Possibly?

:lemon: Almost every other thread in the NH section is Negative Hysteria based on Assumption.......it's kinda depressing.

I don't feel the need for a SE switch.

Black is fine by me.

Lots of people don't have a switch yet.

For those people then of course, a Switch themed on their favorite game is ideal. For those that would either double-dip, or go to the effort of selling their current one to fund the new one; you have to be a super fan I think.

I was thinking they'll be doing it one month before release... I'm going to keep hoping... If they don't, I'll wait or just get a normal Switch? I can always pretend it's customised in my head 。゚( ゚இ‸இ゚+)゚。

I think they will. We still have 3 months to go really and they've had multiple special design DSs for animal crossing. They may come out with official skins/switch covers but if not I'm honestly not worried about it with how many decal sites there are to decorate your switch however you want.

Yeah, it's been really frustrating that most threads turn into finding ways to not like NH or try to reason that it will be a disaster based on hysteria rather than focus on all the amazing things the game has to offer o uo;;

I'm hoping we get one. However, this thread does make me wonder if production of these will be delayed until 4th quarter 2020 as they will make great Christmas gifts. I don't see much purpose to them including them at launch time for the game. Releasing them later allows them to create two hype cycles for the same game in the same year. Also, people who buy the game at launch will have a larger itch for a second town by that point, and might be more willing to buy a second Switch at that time.

Ummm guys!!! I just saw this in my recommended list on YouTube don't know who he is but he brought me great news!

So what do you think? Wait it out for a pro (if it exists) or what?! I'm excited! I thought I was going to buy the longer battery life but if there's a new one that has even longer life and gets less heated (hopefully) I'm all for it!

So still not making one that fixes the drifting joy con? o_O

I'm basing it on what I've seen, and what they've told us.

Crafting is a thing.
Autosave is a thing.

You say that it's frustrating because you think we are finding ways to not like it, but I feel frustrated and almost pressured by those without concerns, in to liking it.

It goes both ways.

I want to like it, but there are quite a few features that are off putting, and you need to respect our opinions, and we need to respect yours, without it turning into a heated debate.

I feel all talked out on the subject.

I'll say it one last time. I'm waiting for the final product.

aaaa sorry I didn’t mean for it to come off as negative! I was just trying to point out that it might not be worth holding your tongue for a limited edition one, because I’ve noticed in other threads that a lot of people are holding out on getting a switch in favour of a special themed one

edit: fixed spelling error and layout

I think that most people are getting burned out from the guessing since nintendo has been spookily, annoyingly quiet on this game, so I do understand how people are getting so crotchety about it. BUT the sheer amount of threads that revolve around 'this game will be awful because _______" and the like, are getting on my last nerves.
We didn't know about the switch lite until what? 2 weeks before it came out? it could be a pattern. I don't know.
We still don't know anything new, every trailer and leak has been analyzed to the fullest.
All we ask, is just a little more info, Nintendo!

I am honestly not that surprised about how quiet they are but I also don't think that it is any different from how they were with new leaf. Nintendo has released a pretty decent amount of information from New faces, new hair, varied skin tones, autosaving, improved graphics, island theme, ability to place objects anywhere, villagers building their houses up as well at their own pace, choosing where you place villager homes, 8 player multiplayer, new path system, new animal clothing types, being able to play at the same time as your sibling or friend, placing houses on the beach, crafting, fruit power-ups, new flowers, new in-game currency/goals, and so on. I just think it has been so long since the last main installment of animal crossing that people are expecting too much and at the same time nothing to be different. We have also been able to watch very very very early/beta gameplay at E3 which allowed us to see the mechanics of the game which they don't always show for every single game.

It feels less like everyone being impatient and more like a lot of people either not wanting to justify buying a switch for this game, feelings that it needs to be the best thing ever since it has been so many years and anything less is inferior to new leaf, fear that it is no longer an "animal crossing" game, and various other random hysteric beliefs based on lack of personal knowledge or fear that the game won't be good despite the long wait time.

I may be the only one who thinks this but we have gotten a major amount of information and honestly the only thing missing for me is what a "finished" looking island would be which in sure we will get in the next direct.

The amount of threads focused on negative aspects of the game that are not even confirmed or would ever exist in the first place has made me wish there were other sites aside from bell tree that focus solely on animal crossing. Nintendo has literally bent over backwards and provided fans with almost every single feature that we have begged for over the years and all anyone seems to think about is possible issues that honestly most likely won't be issues at all. It's fine to be cautious about how you spend your money but it's ridiculous that most of the forum is complaints and debates on whether it is worth it rather than focusing on all the amazing changes Nintendo has made.
