DONT MOVE OUT VILLAGERS- GLITCH

So earlier today I moved Gayle out by having someone come over to invite that villager to their island. And now, a new villager has moved in (Monty), but one of my other villagers (Pompom) have moved out?? There were no messages or announcements from Isabelle that she was moving out, Pompom didnt have a thought bubble above her head so I didn't talk to her about moving at all, and her house is still here after days of TTing. When you go to her door it just says ‘I’ve moved out’. She's still on my map but no where to be found on my island.

Is anyone else having similar issues?

I advise people not to move out villagers at the time being, because my friend who got me Raymond is telling me now that Raymond's house is still in his island and not going away. So his game is glitched too.

Also, the person who actually gave me Pompom had a glitch too in her island where Pompom's house would just keep staying despite her moving out.

None of the villagers were traded through campsite villagers or amiibo.

I really hope Nintendo fixes this soon

That must be so frustrating! For now, it seems that it's not advisable to:

1) adopt an islander from another player
2) let another player adopt one of yours

However, islanders who ping to move are fine to let go into the void.

Or will they also be stuck on my island?

That must be so frustrating! For now, it seems that it's not advisable to:

1) adopt an islander from another player
2) let another player adopt one of yours

However, islanders who ping to move are fine to let go into the void.

Yeah, for now what I've gathered is that players receiving villagers from another player will be fine - (unless campfire or amiibo forced moving) but the person who moved the villager out will get some kind of detrimental effect. And yes, Islanders who want to move and are voided has no negative effect in the game.

it sucks because I have some villagers that I think others could potentially want (Apple, Erik, Zell) but now it seems like I'll just have to void them when they'll want to move.

there was a thread the other day about someone with this glitch telling people to report it to nintendo, but i cant find it now. idk if they posted a link there or something

These glitches have been discovered by so many already I'm shocked Nintendo hasn't addressed it yet.
They patched that duping glitch pretty quick and if anything, this is worse as you can't really continue playing with a big glitch like this!

Moving in Julian in place of Pompom's house glitched out my game even worse, so I just ended up resetting my island :/ This glitch with the villager homes not leaving is happening more and more often it seems. I'd recommend not buying or selling ANY villagers to other people at the moment, at all. It seems like the only truly safe way to get villagers is through the islands, campsite, and random move-ins.

If you are experiencing these glitches, PLEASE report them to Nintendo. This is affecting so many people and I know some have reset their games over it, including myself.

You could always get Pompom's card, move a temporary villager in, then boot that one out when you physically have Pompom's amiibo.
