dont see new updates

sorry if this is the wrong place to discuss this, but i have been on otday and downloaded the new update, i have 3 star rating, and the only thing new i see is the boombox thing to do stretchews, what about kapp'n? i would love to go on tours and the brewery but i see nothing. what have i done wrong?

Gyroids can't be found on your island until you plant fragments, which can only be found on Kapp'n islands.

You clearly have the update if you have the boombox showing (and I'm guessing you're seeing some of the new store items/DIYs as well) but it sounds like some things have requirements to unlock. A lot of players here have finished the "plot" ages ago and were able to jump right in to all the new features, but I guess it's different if you're still earlier in the game.

I feel sorry for the people who restarted their islands just to be ready for the 2.0 update. It sounds like there are certain things you have to do in order to see the new stuff. You have to make sure your Museum is fully upgraded to get Brewster and Kapp'n won't let you ride on his boat the first time because he wants you to go on Nook Mile islands (I found out about this recently

Just a piece of advice, it's best to talk to Blathers first (while he's thinking) before going to your very first boat tour. He should give you Brewster's photo and ask you to find him on a Kapp'n island. Go take a boat tour from Kapp'n. You should find Brewster there wandering around and a dig spot to find a gyroid fragment.

Return to the main island and tell Blathers about Brewster. The museum will be closed tomorrow for renovation.

Proceed to plant the gyroid fragment on your island. Make sure it has space on all sides. Then water it and smoke should come out. Dig it up the following day for a gyroid. For more fragments, keep visiting Kapp'n islands everyday. You also get 1-3 gyroids the day after it rains.

Is your museum fully updated? I don't think you can get Brewster until then, so you might have to wait for Redd to donate a painting or something. :/

As for Kapp'n, have you checked the right place? He's at the end of the pier. NOT the airport one, the one somewhere else on your island. It took me a bit to remember to look there because at first I expected him to show up near the airport

yes i have donated paintings already and checked both docks and he isnt there. since i just got kk slider to play im hoping something will happen tomorrow
