I thought I would kick off the new year with an Dream Suite update of Ivy Wood, my town. Its been due for one.
Recently I have hosted a contest for the best Dream Town, which is still in reviewing process (http://www.belltreeforums.com/showt...LS!!!-*SUBMISSIONS-CLOSED-REVIEWS-IN-PROCESS*) and I have found some inspiration as I go, which is cause or this most recent update.
MY DREAM ADDRESS IS 5400-2973-4369
The residents of the town are myself, Mayor Patches, and my boyfriend, Pieman. Both houses are worth looking at.
Animal Villagers are Drift, Stinky, Hazel, Savannah, Timbra, Roscoe, Whitney, Sprinkle, Beau, & Vladimir.
So awake in the dreamy town of Ivy Wood and you will find presents I have left for you circling my town tree - those are for you to unwrap and enjoy as you venture through Ivy Wood.
Ivy Wood was supposed to be named Riverwood, after Skyrim (you will see Town Hall has the Imperial Symbol on the flag), however "Riverwood" was too many letters.
A bit of History as I take you on a tour of my town:
I became Mayor July 17th 2013.
209 People have visited Ivy Wood thus far to date but you will notice I didn't upgrade my train station, by choice: I like the original design best.
Club LOL had its Grand Opening on August 5th 2013 and T&T Emporium opened November 15th. We have a fully upgraded Main Street with Katrina's Fortune Teller's Shop, Shampoodle, and Museum 2F which was completed on August 10th 2013.
On December 18th 2013 Ivy Wood achieved Perfect Town Status and built its Flower Clock near the train station to greet visitors as they come, with a bench near by to sit and enjoy the scenery.
Ivy Wood's native fruit is the orange, and there are several perfect orange tress around town.
I leave memorial sites in places where villagers who have moved away had their homes - small PWPs to remember them by. 3 Villagers have moved: Kidd, Lily and Kody, in that order
Kidd's memorial site is near Re-tail, next to Stinky's house. Kidd was a dear friend. A Smug villager, who always said "we need more dancing happening right now *shoom* that's better!". He hosted Pieman's birthday a couple years ago and said "we are always here for you" when he left the party. So I made a bonfire where his house once stood because his flame will always burn deeply in our hearts forever....
Lily's memorial site isn't far away from Kidd's. Its near a pond, the garden of lilies, surrounded by bushes to mark where her house was. I was devastated when this dear frog villager friend left. It was so sudden..... she never pinged me or Pieman. Lily always says, "I could turn our conversations into a collection of essays!". Her and I shared the same academic dreams and goals and interests.
Kody's memorial site is near the Roost, which was founded on August 24th 2014. Kody moved out much later. I built a humble log bench and grew blue pansies around it (because he is a blue bear). He once admired my devotion to watering flowers, being a jock villager and that carrying watering cans being pretty heavy was a moving gesture on behalf of flowers.
If you see next to the Roost, I left another present outside - a cup of coffee just for you enjoy.
The Lighthouse was built on November 27th 2013, and can be viewed from the sea when you dive at night.
The campsite was completed on August 4th 2013 and the windmill beside it on July 8th 2014.
The Reset Centre was completed on November 21st 2013 and is located near the Train Station and Flower Clock as well.
The Police Station is near Town Hall and was inaugurated September 4th 2013.
There is a peaceful place near Whitney's house with a fountain and roses and a bench to drink your coffee if you haven't already.
In my recent update I have surrounded each villager house with flowers. I hope you appreciate it!
I have also surrounded some PWPs, like the well, the geyser, the picnic blanket, the drinking fountain, etc.... with flowers and hybrids as well and tried to organize my flowers a bid more since my last update and clear pathways.
Please stop by my house and Pieman's house. we put a lot of work into them. Pieman worked very hard on his upstairs room - this was before we joined TBT, where hunting bugs and fish on the island was the only means of earning bells. And he got that Gorgeous set on his own, a couple pieces at a time. I joined TBT a little while ago, and after opening a shop and earning bells, I won an auction for the 7/11 set which I gave to him as a gift. I think he set up that room really well He also has accumulated every musical instrument in the game, so be sure to visit his music room too (not all instruments could be displayed however, as there is not enough room!).
We both like to collect and make music boxes. So feel free to play them while in our houses!
My house has a Gracie/Pave Room, a refurbished Exotic Room, a Christmas themed room (which is now being transformed into a beach resort for the next update!), uptstairs is an Alpine Room, Downstairs is my kitchen with rare food DLC, and I also have a Sloppy Room!
You will notice I saved during an Aurora. I always try to save during a special occurrence such as that.
Enjoy! Let me know what you think!
