As a child when I couldn’t find a piece of Lego, my parents would always tell me ‘it’s definitely there!’ and I thought I’d never actually experience having a piece missing from a set.
Until… I got a big gingerbread house Lego set for Christmas a few years ago and instead of part of the chimney there was a mobile phone piece 🤣🤣 I’m pretty sure we had to write to them and ask for the correct piece, but it was the funniest thing ever. The phone was the same size and shape as the proper piece so it was all the right weight, but it was so random 😂🤣

Not that I can remember, but I do remember getting a Lego set with a broken or unfitting piece, so we had to call in a new piece.

I've been convinced a piece was missing many times, but ultimately found it. Whether I had dropped it or used it already in the wrong place.

When I was a kid (maybe 3-4 years old?), I was convinced there was a piece missing from a set my parents had gotten me, so they went back and exchanged it, except I think it was still missing in the new set. I think I just thought there was supposed to be a piece there based on the box art but there actually wasn't? I don't think there's been any other time I thought there was a piece missing from a set.

I have not! I’ve had to search for the missing piece a few times though. Scary times!

I got the lego ideas tree house set last year for christmas, there were a couple peices missing which was a little annoying but they weren't super important peices and I was able to use some of the extra peices to compromise.

Only once! My partner and I have collected a few of the LEGO Brickheadz, and at one point we ordered multiple items and qualified for a free miniature Star Wars set, just something with 60ish pieces that would only take a few minutes to build. When we tried to put it together, we were missing probably 7-8 pieces in total, some of them quite large. The final product looked like a droid ship right after a third of it had been blown off by enemy fire. It was free, so not a big deal, but definitely weird! I can't remember ever missing even one piece before or after, but this particular set was unsalvageable.

I don't think I've ever been missing a piece from a lego set, only puzzles. I have, however, gotten MORE than the necessary amount in my boxes, which is pretty cool. I think I got 5 cookies and 3 sweets in my lego Christmas box one year? Anyway, my experience with lego is fairly good (except for the prices 🥶)

I don't think I've ever had a missing piece but DEFINITELY extra pieces lol.
