These are my favorite types of villagers.

Would these make sense for a springcore flower filled island?

My only problem is narrowing down which ones I want. And I might feel guilty leaving out Roscoe... maybe he would fit? Kinda ironically maybe?

What are your favorite species of animal in ACNH?

Honestly, I think those three species make the most sense for a springcore island. My suggestion: Color coordinate the villagers using these three species. I don’t think Roscoe would fit personally, but that shouldn’t stop you from using him of he’s a favorite. You can incorporate him somehow.

My personal favorite villager species are dogs. Wolves are my second.

These are my villagers. I wanted a warm color scheme, so I stuck with orange-brown. As you can see, I used all of my favorite species. The wolves are considered the leaders of the pack. I love all of my villagers.

very cute! I see what you're saying now. How did you make your villager graphic?

It’s an app called ACNH Life. I’m using an iOS device. I’m not sure if it’s available for Androids. That app is great for visual. It’s not connected to the game. It’s just a way for you to keep track of everything.

awesome! I have iOS so I'm gonna download it now. Thank you! 💚

No problem! Good luck with your island!! Let me know if you use color coordination! 😁

im just playing around right now but I was having trouble finding enough of those three types of animals to fill my island. So I introduced more that I liked and came up with this:

what do you think?

2 frogs
2 ducks
2 rabbits
2 squirrels
2 Cubs

Bunnies, ducks and frogs would make a great springtime island. I was actually thinking of doing this myself. With Bunnies, Ducks , Squirrels and bear Cubs. Still trying to decide. Right now I have a penguin theme for winter. I will be keeping Aurora no matter what.

These are who I am considering for my spring theme.
Molly
Maple
Chrissy
Francine
Ace
Marty
Stitches
Ruby
Sasha
Ione
Marshal
Deena
Bill
Scoot

Roscoe can still work if you really want him. There are alot of colors of flowers to choose from including deep purple and black. Plus, if you were planning on having all the flowers anyway, you can just plop some that go with Roscoe together near his plot.

My favorite species is probably dogs. I have 3 tiny dogs, so I am biased.
Others I really like are hamsters, sheep, frogs, ducks, and eagles.

I would keep Roscoe since he seems to be your favorite villagers and I think keeping your favorite villagers matters more then keeping your aesthetic perfect.

they sound perfect for a spinrgcore island! I would definitely recommend Puddles, Lily, Henry, Frobert, Freckles, Pate, Pompom, Molly, and tbh almost any rabbit villager cause they're all really cute (though Gaston might look weird in a springcore island lol).

also Roscoe being there ironically would be funny, he could keep the balance on the island, make sure it doesn't get too cute and spring-like. he could also be there to just throw everyone off 😆

I absolutely love this lineup!! only thing I wanted to mention is that the only personality that isn't represented here is sisterly, but idk if there's a sisterly villager that would match this aesthetic/color-coordination. I suppose Charlise would fit in with the color scheme if you like her design, but tbh the villager layout you have right now is perfectly fine so if you don't change it that's okay!

I really like that you included Murphy and Quillson, both lovely and highly underrated boys.

Yeah Charlise might work I was looking through the sisterly villagers and couldn't really find any, maybe Agnes the pig because she would match with Roscoe?

Sheep are typical spring animals as well, so would fit your theme if you were interested in adding other types. My favorite animal types are sheep and frogs. Pigs and rabbits are also super cute to me. Some of the deer are adorable and very spring-time imo, although I don't love the goats as much.

If you were going to color coordinate with a spring theme, you could think all pastels, which would be reminiscent of easter and spring.

Pashmina and Dierdre are sisterly types that to me have a "spring" vibe. They are soft colored and youthful looking. Diva and Mira are rabbits but otherwise not particularly "springish". Fuschia is a maybe since she's pink, but maybe too pink? Ursula is a softer pink and a bear, which is cute for spring. Although, if you really want to stick to the blue/green color scheme you mention above then I can see why you left out sisterlys. The only one is Charlise but she's a very vibrant green and her outfit is very sporty looking - not spring-vibe at all. You'd be better off with a soft-colored one like Ursula, Paula, Dierdre, or Pashmina and giving them lots of green clothes to wear.

You asked about Roscoe. I think that a pastel theme would work better with Roscoe than an all green/blue theme, as his striking color scheme would look more intentionally ironic amongst a pastel rainbow of villagers than with only two other colors. He would look like the balancing anchor in a rainbow if part of a pastel scheme, but only an odd-man-out if the color scheme were green and blue only. My opinion, of course and it's what you like that matters. :giggle:

Wow, thank you for all the ideas and opinions everyone. This is awesome!

I'm really excited to figure this out and continue to brainstorm. The app that croconaw suggested is really helping me to visualize things.

I thought if I do decide to incorporate Roscoe , maybe I could put his house right next to mine. That way it'd be like he and I were living on a cheery springtime island together, rather than him being a "part" of the springcore theme himself. If that makes sense.

Yeah, I think that makes perfect sense!
btw, I thought last night after I posted, omg, Etoile! How could I not mention Etoile? She's a lavender sheep from the Sanrio set and would be perfect in a spring theme if you decide to go with pastels in general. She's literally the cutest animal in the entire game (imo). I like quirky villagers better than cute ones for my own island, but my daughter has Etoile and if she didn't, I would make an exception for her. Seriously, she is so flippin cute! Plus, the sheep already look like little plump eggs, so again, how perfect for spring! LOL

I hope you'll post your final lineup. It will be interesting to see what you choose! :)

One last thing, my daughter will have Quillson in boxes at some point in the near future, so if you are interested in inviting him to your island, let me know.

they would definitely make sense for a springcore island! those species are actually some of the first that come to mind when i think about spring, the others being deers, goats and squirrels.

roscoe could also definitely fit in if you wanted him to. you seem to have an idea for him already, but if you’re still open to suggestions, maybe you could have a tiny part of your island that like... ‘refuses’ to conform to the springcore theme, and is a bit more on the spookier side? or maybe even a graveyard? his house could be around in there.

your colour coordinated villager lineup looks great! those villagers all look fantastic together, and i’m really happy to see some villagers included that don’t normally get a lot of attention (quillson, mint, murphy, etc).

also, my #1 favourite species is deers (they’re also my favourite animal irl), but i love the wolves as well! ☺️
