MP3. Is. GOD.

I just saved before having to reactivate the first tower thingy.... This game is simply amazing. The controls are great, the first boss was really fun... only bad thing so far about the game is that my hand hurts grasping the Wiimote so dang hard. D:

Well then, I guess I'll have to check it out. I had basically written it off after I heard it lacked multiplayer, but if it's still good I guess I'll buy it.

I've yet to pick up and play MP3 as I picked it up alongside Blue Dragon and have been playing BD mostly (when I'm home that is). I am really looking forward to playing MP3 sometime so I'm glad to hear you like it UltraByte.

Yasharu, I don't think Metroid was every designed to be a multi player experience (Hunters may prove me wrong somewhat...but it wasn't that great IMO). You shouldn't deprive yourself of a great gaming experience...so go out and give it a rental at the very least

I know it's really meant as a single player experience, but Hunters got me thinking about what could be possible with multiplayer on the Wii. I know people are divided in opinion about Hunters, but with a little tweaking and some new Wii features, I think it could have been great...

Of course, I'll still get the game, and it will instantly become one of my favorites, but I'll always wonder what might have been.

I recently played it at the Nintendo World Store for about an hour and it was great. The precision that you get with the Wiimote is probably only beaten by a mouse and a keyboard. I agree that your hands get tired after a while since you have to be pointing at the screen at all times, but aside from that, it's great.

Too bad that I cannot play it further, since I have yet to play Prime and Prime 2 (that's what happens when you have a big backlog of GC games and not much time to play). T_T

You know, I had a similar problem. However, it wasn't my hand. It was my arm. My arm would get tired from holding it in aiming position. Most of that was probably because I was sitting down, so I had to hold my arm up at an awkward position (that's because I have the Wii in my bedroom and my computer monitor doubles as a TV, so I have to clear the desk for the sensor to work).

I think it's a great game, too. The art direction and sound are top notch and the controls are fantastic. I really enjoyed it!

Yeah, I really like it too. Though I've been switching off between Strikers, MySims, and this, so I haven't played it as much as I could have.

This game is amazing. Ya'know I haven't really had an issue with hand or arm tiredness. But I sit on my couch and use my knee as an arm rest so i'm constantly pointing directly at the screen. I just hate it when I have an itch or go to grab a cup off the coffee table and then I have to focus on the screen for a second or two for the camera to recenter. Other than that, I really believe that they NAILED the controls.

Just hold Z while you grab your drink. I had that issue, too, but the Z button helps.

Never thought about that. Thanks.

If you're having issues with the controls, then just put your hand, with the Wiimote obviously, on your lap. That's how I played the whole game and it worked GREAT. Truly, Retro Studios took all the Metroidness of the source material and crafted a wondrous game with Metroid Prime 3...

I beat the game at 100% last week, and I'll agree, best Metroid since Super Metroid IMO. The controls are really what made this one, it was a little easier, but that didnt bother me at all.

MySims is already out? I swear, I haven't been hearing anything about videogame releases lately...

I hadn't played the first Metroid Prime (I was an early Gamecuber, and then skipped on to original Xbox), so got it a couple weeks ago and really have been enjoying it. Fantastic game, but I can see where the controls of MP3 would be far superior. Looking forward to playing it.

Should I bother with MP2 after MP? I heard it got mixed reviews.

As far as I know, MP2 didn't get scores as high as the original MP; nevertheless, it got more than 90% in the average. I haven't played MP2 much (just about an hour), but I think that if you liked the original, you should like this one. Another thing is that, story-wise, you probably should play all the games in the Prime trilogy, or else you'll feel like something is missing.

Just curious, what button controls do you use for shooting and jumping?

B for shoot for me. I'll used to the 'pull the trigger' style that's in other games... though, I did keep pressing A for shoot... I hated the original GCN controls, but I was too used to it at first.

I tried B for shoot and A for jump, but it didn't feel as natural as I thought so I switched it back. I think my thumb has better reflexes than my index finger.
