That's how to do it and no it isn't hacking it just ruins the game because you get too much money quickly.

some friends of mine & i tried to duplicate a midna's mask (i know, we didn't have that much money back then ) but we failed, hard

i'd recommend just playing the game, without using glitches and stuff
and even then after a couple of months playing ac;cf will get boring, without duplicated stuff trust me ..
