enderby island rabbit

i breed one of the world most endangered rabbits on the world and there is only about 100 left in the world!

Do you happen to know why they're endangered? o: I'm curious

They aren't the best listeners though only 70% of them have normal hearing.

there is this island in the Auckland islands in New Zealand called Enderby Island. qute some time ago, people landed on that island and put some large meat rabbits on the island to feed them, they eventually sailed away and left the island with rabbits and cows. these large rabbits evolved to be normal sized rabbits with small ears and thick coats to keep warm in the VERY cold winter. later, DOC in NZ said that the rabbits and cows need to be taken off Enderby Island because they are unnatural to the island. They took off 40 rabbits off the island.

The breed has 2 variations, the black colour and the creme colour, they didn't know this and only took black ones off the island. i think a creme rabbit naturally occurs 1 in 300, and 2 cremes will always make a creme. so eventually they got a creme baby and basally have been breeding more and more, but these rabbits probably only have 5 litters in thier life time, max, with only 1-4 babies in each one, so numbers can gt low.

Our bunnies have had 2 litters of 4 creme (rare) and the other doe had 5 creme, and she is a black, but her parents were 1 creme and 1 black, so she is a 'carrier', she has a 50/50 chance to have creme babies with a creme buck, and she had 5 cremes, so thats a 3% chance!

Since the red panda has already been chosen, I'll choose my favorite dog breed, the German Shepherd. They are just too darn cute and an interesting fact about them is that they were ranked 3rd out of 100 dog breeds for their intelligence.

They super cute and have a black line down their backs.. They also come when you call them if they're trained!
