I haven't seen if it's been posted anywhere else yet, but on the Official Website, Nintendo has posted the official Event Calendar for New Leaf: http://www.animal-crossing.com/newleaf/new-day/

A bunch of other features were added to the official website, too; the 'Play, Connect, and Share' section is up, as is the Guided Tour.

Hooray. That is good news. I'll take a look at it eventually, but not yet. I feel like I need to stay away from that information until I get NL. I like some surprises! But I'll check it while playing, to ensure I don't miss anything :)

Anyone notice that Boy's day is an included holiday??? That's pretty awesome (but why not just call it children's day..they haven't included girl's day)

This better be a typo. It would be freaking ridiculous to have Boy's Day, and not include Girl's Day intentionally. Like, 'I am already drafting my angry letter' ridiculous. But... hoping it's a typo.

Like I said in the chatroom, I'd rather have Bean Day anyway.

It would make sense to just call it Children's day, because that's what it is I think. It was traditionally boy's day, and is boy's day in the Japanese version because there IS a girl's day to go with it.

Or, more sensible would be to not have it at all since it's is a meaningless holiday to North America and Europe. heh.

There are high resolution wallpapers of the animal crossing season art available for download on the american site :D

I really hope Boy's Day was some weird typo that they left in by mistake or something :/ so was Shamrock Day included in previous games/the Japanese version or is it a NA exclusive? Also no mushroom hunting? Or is it just not on the calendar?

According to the guide book, shamrock day is both US and UK. And from what I can see here, the mushroom hunting doesn't count as a true "event", much like collecting the snowman furniture isn't.

I feel bad for Europe, because they have a huge Bug-Off the day after the release date...but it might be exciting for some of them. Is that just the NA calendar? I'm not sure if the EU is different, but if it isn't, my point was just announced...⤴

Oooh, we'll get to experience our first holiday only a few weeks after the game comes out: the summer solstice! And I can't wait to see the Fireworks shows in August!! :D

Not a typo. I saw a screencap from someone in the Mayor Program where they were talking to Isabelle and she said that it was Boy's Day.

I'm still trying to get over Club LOL. I can't even pay attention to this right now.

Well, maybe they accidentally left Girl's Day off the calendar...? :-/

Do you have a link or a screenshot of this, Octavia? Or can you just tell me where you found it? Thank you so much!

Unfortunately I don't have the source nor the picture. I'll go scouting for it though!

I saw that as well, however they were visiting a Japanese friend's town.
