Personally I've noticed a few small details in screenshots/trailers that lead me to believe we can travel to new islands for new experiences such as shops and new NPCs/events (I.e. a dessert island, tundra island, forever summer, mermaid/fantasy island, bustling city island, etc.. )

If this were the case what kind of places would you want to explore to? What would you want the events or special features of that land to be? Of course this is all speculation and we have no idea but!!! It would be fun

i’m hoping that maybe there’ll be two islands besides our own; the first one will be like the island in new leaf where you can get exclusive items and go on tours. the second could be where all the shops are like the able sisters :>

I’d love it if we could go traveling to different islands for different crafting materials, meet exotic villagers, and catch unique bugs/fish. I really wonder what else they could have in store for this new title that we haven’t seen yet.

Yesyes!!! It would be a really fun way to incorporate all the cool new flowers and such from PC.
I'd love it if certain themed items had higher chances for different crafting materials like a major city type of island having more iron and a enchanted island having different colored wood like pinks/blues/yellows

Speaking as a person who never played City Folk, I think it would be really cool to have a city-esque island (mainland?) that functions as an online multi-player hub. Treat it a bit like an MMO section of the game and have up to 8 people spawn in there at a time. Then you can have a little flea market spot that you set up that other people can buy things from you. The bells get deposited into your bank of course.

I also think it would be fun if we could travel to another island and meet a couple different villagers that live on the island. It would be like the native islanders in the origianal Animal Crossing. Or so I read since I've never played that one.

I'd love it if there were seasonal islands, and that we could set our own islands to whatever season we wanted.

I'd have an endless summer, as I don't like the in-game snow, because it doesn't snow where I am, so seasonal islands we could visit that would allow us to catch the fish and bugs for that season.

If there was a winter isle, we could also keep snowman to there, and collect snowflakes for the ice and snowman series. (Though the snowman set sucks IMO)

I also hope there's a main island with all the shops, and more, that Main Street in New Leaf had.

Bring back Tortimer (offline) island, complete with those awesome tour games.

That would be really cool, it would be a shame to not use the island theme for more interaction.

I wonder if they changed the hemisphere options at all to include the weather of countries that dont get certain seasons? That would be really awesome but suck when it comes to collecting bugs/fish since you'd need to either have to go to a friends town or rely on the possible other islands

I would LOVE a feature like this!!!!
To have my own little marketplace would be adorable and have the option to meet other players just in the game would be fun! Maybe access to the city would be in the phone app. I've been trying to figure out what the nintendo app will do for AC and I think that would be a good one

Yeah, I don't think we'll be able to escape the snow.

i think it would be cool if we had different islands for things but i also think it would be kind of tedious to go shopping or something. if places are off the main island i hope they're places we don't really have a need to visit often, and are big enough to explore. it would be cool if we could decorate the lil separate islands (if they end up actually existing).
