Favorite Cat Villager

With about 26 in total, the cat villagers are the largest group of villagers in Animal Crossing so far. Thanks to New Horizons, there is with Raymond also finally a smug cat, means there is now a cat with each personality available, perfect for people who want a 'cats only' island. However, two cats, Meow and Pierre, unfortunately never made it into future games.

These little facts beside, I would like to know with cat villager is your favorite and why.

I actually like all cats in general, but I would say my all-time favorite is going to be Rudy, mostly because I really like his design. Next to him, I also like Ankha, Tabby, Bob, Kabuki and Monique a lot, Raymond is okay too, I don't mind him. And although they only appeared in one game so far (which I never played before), I do like Meow and Pierre, they both have such a neat unique design and it is in fact kinda a shame that they never made it into another game.

I love all of them except for two, Katt and Tabby. I'm not particularly fond of Katt because she was in my mom's town and when we both first saw her, we didn't like her design. Same thing with Tabby. I mean, cats are my favorite, so I guess I shouldn't hate or dislike Katt or Tabby, so maybe I'll like them one day.

As for all the other cats, yeah, I just love them waaaaay tooooo much. If I had an all species town, this villager species would be it. My personal main favorite would be Mitzi, as like I said many a times, she was the first villager I ever met. So she has a special connection with me.

Kitty is one of my two absolute favorite villagers in the entire game. She's been in my Gamecube and New Leaf towns, and has been an excellent resident in both of them. I'll make sure to have her in my New Horizons town.

I like a lot of cat villagers but Kid Cat is my #1 favorite, followed by Purrl, Bob, Tangy, Kiki, and Rosie.

Lol Katt over here getting all the hate. Personally, I don't like her either. Tangy and Ankha are the best overall, but all cats are amazing.

Lolly because she's so sweet and the cutest of them all.
Punchy because he loves food and is so cute and I love his design.
Rosie because she's so full of energy and I love how cute she looks in that dazed dress!
Felicity because she's the cutest and I love her little hair-do!

There's so many cuties for this species, but I ended up choosing Ankha as my favorite. I also like Felyne and Rosie almost as much.

Tom!!! My best friend since my first day of New Leaf. I have such a strong love for him in my heart, every time I talk to him at my PC camp I feel so happy.

kid cat has always been my number one kitty, i love him so much he's so cute ;u;.

i love the super hero aesthetic so much, but kid cat's definitely the best of them all imo, hence him being number 1! i love that he most closely resembles being an old school power ranger too, i used to watch that religiously when i was little so of course i immediately latched on to kid cat when i first saw him. he's also so expressive, and each one is so adorable!!! like honestly look at these:

plus i love his soft blue + bright red colour scheme a lot!! prime number one babie 10/10 100%

on another note though i do really like meow and her whole tv face aesthetic, i especially love the pink! i really hope she makes a return in new horizons, i miss her.

I seem to have fallen out of love with the cats since all the characters got taller, I think they were way cuter when they were short. Punchy was a big fave of mine back on the gamecube version, then there was Lolly in CF who was like my favorite villager in that town lol
in NL.. eh. Although I did enjoy Rudy a lot while I had him. :]

I love Lolly! She's so cute, I personally find her cuter than others. Rosie doesn't appeal to me though.

I'm different from most people in that I don't find the cat villagers all that appealing as a species. I don't dislike them or any of the species in the game, but I just find cats rather bland compared to most of the other species designs. But there are some stand-outs for me.

Ankha looks very regal and dignified. I love ancient Egyptian history and I think making her a cat villager was a perfect choice. I don't think she would work for me in a normal town, but in a themed town she would be really cool.

Kabuki is awesome with his face paint and cranky attitude. He moved from my spare town to my husband's town, so I've been able to interact with him a lot and he's so fun to be around. His expressions are even more impressive because of his face paint.

Finally, the only more normal cat design that I really love is Mitzi. I grew up with a siamese cat so there's a bit of nostalgia from my childhood when I look at her and think of my very first pet.

I picked Felyne because MH is a bigger part of my childhood than AC, and I love his personality type and RV items....He was also first made available during my birthday week !
But there's not a bad cat in AC. You can blind pick a cat villager and it'll always be a good pick.

He's not in my town, but stinky is my favorite! Followed by kitty, katt and bob

My favorite Cat villager is definitely Ankha, and she has been for years. Her ancient Egyptian design and overall theming is great, she has my favorite female personality in Snooty, her house's interior design is pleasant, and she makes for a good pair with Lucky. I had both of them in my original New Leaf town and they were some of the only things I was happy with in that town, so when I deleted that town and restarted years ago, I specifically sought out a town that had both of them as starting villagers and they have been living in the town from the start. I kind of regret the decision since I later realized the map kind of sucks, but it is what it is, and I'm nonetheless happy that I still have both of them around.

Oh, and between the original Ankha and the current one, she's sent me two thrones. Can't beat that.



My second favorite Cat would be Pierre. I'm fond of the clown villagers like Pietro and Marcel, so I'm bummed that Pierre has been left behind. I doubt he will ever show up again in a future game at this point, but I'd be pretty happy if he did ever return. Hopefully with a different interior design for his though.

Third place has to go to Meow for that great LCD face design. Like Pierre, it's a shame that she and her Dog counterpart Bow have been lost to time. I'd totally have her live in one of my towns if I could. Again doubtful that she'll ever return, even more unlikely, but I'd love to see her back in the future as well.


Tied for fourth are Monique and Olivia.

I like Monique's Marilyn Monroe sort of design, she's a Snooty, and her house's interior design is pretty good too. I haven't had her as a resident of any of my towns as of yet, but hopefully sometime in the future I might. Olivia, meanwhile, I do have as a resident of one of my towns and I just find her design appealing because of the eyes (both the eye shadow and the irises of the eyes), the beauty mark, and the burgundy coloration on her ears and paws. She's also a Snooty, and her house is pleasant as well.


Honorable mentions to Kabuki, Kid Cat, Kiki, and Kitty.

Kabuki has the nice distinct look with the kabuki face paint, and he's Cranky, so he's pretty good by me.

Kid Cat's one of the "superhero" villagers whose designs I like. I never really made the full connection of him resembling a Power Ranger specifically, since you can see his eyes behind the visor whereas you can't on a Ranger suit, but I can totally see it now that it's been pointed out in the thread and love it.

Kiki I like because I have a fondness for black cats, in spite of their poor reputation for bad luck, because I associate them with Halloween (my favorite day of the year), and because the name and design make me think of Kiki's Delivery Service.

Kitty I like for basically the same reasons as Monique and Olivia, Snooty with a bit of make up.


Long post, but hey, the Cats are a pretty great species.
