How did you first discover your favorite villager?

The coolest Bruce fan
Bruce was in my first town and I fell in love immediately.
I constantly talked to him, gave him gifts and special treatment.
I posted messages about him on the bulletin board like an obsessive fan.
He became my best friend after almost a year and it was all worth it.
Oh, and Jacques became my second favorite villager because he started dating Bruce.

I have a few favorite villagers:
Fang- I first discovered Fang when he moved into my town in the GameCube game. At that age I was particularly obsessed with wolves, so he was an instant favorite.
Eunice- Eunice is my other favorite that I first discovered when she moved into my town in the GameCube game. She wasn't an instant favorite like Fang, but she was so sweet, and her home interior reminded my of a grandma's house. I couldn't help but love her. Her New Horizon's house is more akin to a laundromat, but that doesn't knock her off my favorites list.
Lily- I first discovered Lily when she moved into my town in New Leaf. I thought she was so cute and sweet. She claimed a spot of my favorite villagers list very quickly.
Olaf- I first discovered Olaf when he was my first campsite villager in New Horizons. I wasn't sure about him at first, but he grew on my pretty quickly, and now he's a permanent resident of my island.
Fang- I first discovered Fang when he moved into my town in the GameCube game. At that age I was particularly obsessed with wolves, so he was an instant favorite.

My favorite villager of all time is Rasher!
He was in my new leaf town and he lived off in the farthest corner of the map, isolated by the river. His appearance freaked me out at first and there were a couple days he was just hanging around my house so I sent him a letter basically telling him he was creepy and to bug off. Then one time he showed me that letter as the first one I'd sent him and said he loved it. I kinda warmed up to him from then on until he became my favorite!

Flora!! She was my first ACNH peppy villager and I loved her house!!! Of all the starters, the peppy house is by far the best. Also her energy is just infectious and I love how much detail they put into her!!
Skye!! During the height of the pandemic I saw a lot of those villager singing compilations and one of the funniest was Skye in a blue retro dress and glasses singing KK Metal and it was so silly to me to see a paste blue wolf basically yelling and I knew I needed her on my island.

I’m not even entirely sure. I can’t remember if he was there from the beginning, but Drift was in my childhood City Folk town when I was like 6 or 7. I don’t even know why I liked him so much, I’m guessing it’s because he’s so CUTE but i dont know

I think that I first heard about Pietro when Arin was talking about him in an episode of Game Grumps many years ago. I think I looked him up afterward and knew I had to adopt him into my town.

Spike: I used to not like any of the rhinos, but Hobowire used to have Spike in his avatar all the time and in time Spike grew on me. I found him while island hopping. I’m not sure yet if he’s going to be a permanent; regardless he is one of my favorite villagers.
Raymond: I bought him from Kazaf before he had an amiibo card, who was kind to offer me him even though he didn’t want him to leave his island. Even though I have his card, I have no intention of letting him leave even temporarily. Raymond is special because of this and also because I love his design. He looks so grumpy for a smug and his toothy grin is just so adorable.

I have A LOT of favorites, however, if I had to choose six, here's how I discovered them and why I love them:
- Audie - Saw her in some YouTube videos and on the wiki. I LOVE her design and she's gorgeous <3
- Sylvia - Had her on my second island, instantly fell in love. She was so nice and hilarious
- Lolly - Found her on YouTube, also listened to "The Lolly Song"...absolute cutest villager even
- Shino - Found her amiibo on Amazon. I love her horns and little teefies, and the fact that she's based off water deer...
- Roald - Saw him on YouTube, he's round as all heck and adorable ^^
- Kitty - Through the wiki, love her design

I recently got Rasher in Wild World! That’s so interesting!My favorite villager of all time is Rasher!
Sasha: He is my all time favorite villager. I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him, and I'm so happy that they made him male. Boys can be cute, too!
Tabby: She was on my GCN town as a child, and I grew super attached to her. I have always adored her design & personality. I haven't had her on a NH island yet as she hasn't fit any of my themes.. but she'll always have a special place in my heart.

Drago: I had my dragon buddy first in NL. Creating a mythical town, he, Phoebe and Julian were the first trio. As I played longer, I began to enjoy talking with Drago and always worried that he would move out. He never did. I found him on my old island through island hopping. For my new island, I haven't found him yet but I will contune to look. He will always have a permanent spot.
Phoebe: My second fav. I always liked the look of ostrich villagers but Phoebe was my favourite. She was my second sisterly in NL after Muffy moved out and I instantly liked her design.

So basically Tex was the first villager I spoke to when I first got the game at 6yo. He was just really cool, and I spoke to him everyday. Then once after a long hiatus, he moved out and I hated him for a while, but now I like him again.
Melba is my favourite just for vibes and the way she acts. What can I say? She's a koala, and she gives me loads of free stuff. Who can say no to free stuff?
Rocket, while I initially disliked her, grew on me after a few months. When all the other villagers would laugh at me because I got stung by bees, she'd always give me medicine. She makes the most effort to talk to me, and I appreciate it.
Marcie's chill too, though. I love mom characters tbh.

Ursala: Got her Amiibo and thought she was cute, absolutely fell in love when I moved her in. She's adorable, fits her personality well, AND has a killer pun name. What's not to love? She's my ride-or-die girl!
Julia: Thought she was pretty online so decided to get her in my game, then saw she was a million times prettier "in person." She's so elegant and has a calm vibe that I love. Also, I headcanon her as trans, which makes me love her more.
Shep: Thought he was cute when I first saw his picture, then I talked to him in-game and saw his surprised face and fell in love. I also love that his hobby leads to him wearing glasses while reading books and it's hilarious to me that he thinks those will help him read but not a haircut.
Grizzly: Thought he was nice but just one of many cranky bears. Then got him in my game and saw his expressions. He holds the distinction of having one of the cutest/sweetest faces I've ever seen (his really happy face is like a cuddly teddy bear) and scariest/most horrifying expression (OMG do not get him angry lol!) Before him, Dobie was my favorite Cranky, and while I still love Dobie, I love my grumpy Grizzly more.

Lyman — He was one of my starter villagers a couple of resets in a row, including my first time ever playing ACNH. He holds a special place in my heart for that reason. 
Alice — she randomly moved into one of my vacant houses on my current island. She’s just so sweet!
I love talking to her and spoiling her with presents every day! (even though the only present I usually give to villagers is a piece of fruit or a something from my veggie garden

In New Leaf, Chester became one my favorite villagers when he gifted me the last missing piece to the Alpine series! I don’t remember which one but it made little me happy cause I felt like he was thinking of me and knew I was searching for it lol. I always thought his face expression looked funny but he grew on me so now he’s a must have villager. Fun fact, I recently restarted my town and he was one my starting villagers!
Sherb was the first villager I came across on the mystery island! I originally wanted him so I can auction him off for tbt but he grew on me and has been on my island since the beginning!
Julien! He was one of my favorite smugs in New Leaf. I just love his personality and his beautiful looks
