I don't know if a thread like this exists already (I'm sure there is another one somewhere) but I'll make a new one!

What is everyone's favorite Christmas movie? Personally, I really like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", especially the Jim Carrey version. It's always been really funny to me, even when I was a kid. Plus the Grinch character gives me WAH vibes lol .

I have a soft spot for A Christmas Story because that's where I got my user name from but for me it's a tossup between the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol and The Santa Clause(the first one).I don't really get into Christmas but I always watch these movies during the holidays.

I like classics like frosty the snowman, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, how the Grinch stole Christmas, charlie brown and scrooge and a few that aren't technically Christmas movies like toy story, and a nightmare before Christmas, groundhog's day and others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Even if it's the same movie every year, I like to watch them for some reason.

Christmas Vacation, hands down.

Also find of the George C Scott Christmas Carol. To me, that’s the truest to the book.

My favorite Christmas movie is the original 1966 version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I own it and watch it on a loop every year while wrapping presents.

I also really liked Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer as a child. The bumble and the misfit toys were my favorites.

i really enjoy love actually, its very cheesy but i love watching the same things happen every year. Also very random, but, every december i rewatch parks and rec (which has christmas episodes) so that also totally counts haha. OH, and diehard of course

I love all of the Rankin Bass stop-motion classics, like Rudolph and The Year Without a Santa Claus. A Charlie Brown Christmas is another animated classic. I also like the first two Home Alone movies, but they aren't explicitly Christmas movies to me.

Home Alone, the original Grinch and Jim Carrey Grinch, Nightmare Before Christmas, Die Hard! Die hard isn't very Christmasy, but it does take place during Christmas and at a Christmas party and has some funny Christmas lines. So that's good enough for me. The old Christmas movies are all pretty good.

Home alone , Home alone 2 , Miracle on 34th Street , The Polar Express , Arthur Christmas , Elf , The Holiday, Deck The Halls , Love Actually , White Christmas , the muppets Christmas carol , Jingle all the way , Jack Frost.

Miracle on 34th Street (1947), A Christmas Carol (1951, Alastair Sim), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966 animated), Mister Magoo's A Christmas Carol (1962, this plays surprisingly straight, for an animated), A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965), several Rankin & Bass, especially The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974) and The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (1985), and finally, Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas (1987, because it isn't the holidays until Quasimodo knocks the bell off the stage or the camels doo-wop 'We Three Kings')

does carol count as a christmas movie? because i consider it a christmas movie

I really enjoy Die Hard personally. There's something about Hans Gruber falling from Nakatomi Plaza that really gets me in a festive mood.

A Christmas Story by far. There's never a scene where I'm not quoting it or not laughing. The entire movie is hilarious and really gives the feeling of Christmas. :)

I've always enjoyed The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Santa Clause (no.1, specifically).
