Mine in no particular order are

Puzzle: some of the biggest variety, can be both chill and intense
Platformers: both 2d and 3d, too many classics and good memories even if there are a lot I don’t care for
Character action: quality over quantity
And fighting games: the ones I can get attached to really push me as a person and feel so expressive

adventure rpgs and games with exploration are super cool!! they make up the majority of what i play and my wishlist on playstation. also into choice based games - super hyped for lost records: bloom and rage to release later this year.

JRPGs, visual novels, platformers, and farming sims are what I like the most. I do branch out with other types of games if they seem interesting.

Life sims and open world adventure games tend to be my favorites nowadays.

I'll play most types of games but lets see if I had to put my favorites/most played in order. First would be RPGs/JRPGs, the grind is so comfy to me, they're easy to pick up and put down, and sometimes I can get really into the story. After that, action/adventure games (including open world games and shooters) and sim games like Animal Crossing would be about equal. Then platformers. Other types I play a good amount of would be visual novels, puzzle games, rhythm, and AR phone games. Last would be ones I play just a little on occasion such as fighting games, or any other type of game I can't think of atm.
