I'm curious and would like to know which gorilla villager is your favorite and why.
When it comes to the gorilla villagers, I like Boone, Hans and Rocket the most. Back in New Leaf, I also kinda liked Rilla, even if her design is... let's just questionable (they could have made it better IMO). Otherwise, I'm not such a big fan of the other gorillas.
My favorite Gorilla villager is Hans. His blue skin and white fur make me think of a yeti and makes for a pretty unique look, and he has the Smug personality, which is my favorite male personality type. I have him living in one of my towns.
I like a lot of the Gorillas, so honorable mentions also go to Boone, Louie, Peewee, Rocket, and Violet. Boone has that neat mandrill design, Louie has the obvious Donkey Kong inspiration that looks great, Peewee is a good standard gorilla representation, Rocket is one of the "superhero" villagers and I'm fond of those, and Violet's just neat.
Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of the gorilla villagers. :/
The only one I do like is Hans. I love that he looks like a yeti and I personally like villagers that have a white, snowish design. I had him a couple of times and his smug personality fits him to a T. He was also really kinda to me even with the short time I had him. ^^
I voted for Jane. I didn't really like any of the gorilla villagers and I had Jane in my gamecube town. She reminds me of a momma and she's always got her rainbow shirt that originally my older sister made fun of.
I really like the gorilla villagers in general. Somehow, it seems like I always like the underappreciated villagers/species. I voted for Hans and Boone.
I first saw Hans in my campsite and loved him instantly, but I didn't have an open spot. Later, when Lopez had moved out, I got Hans as a random move-in and I was ecstatic. He's been in my main town ever since, but I've decided that I'll eventually move him into Nocturne as a permanent resident there because he fits the color scheme. Hans is one of my favorite villagers, regardless of species.
Boone looks really cool with his mandrill design. I did get to meet him in my campsite once, but yet again I didn't have room for him. I'd love to have him one day.
Peewee is my dude since WW <3 and I think his design is cool cuz he mostly just looks like an ordinary gorilla. I had Cesar in my NL town for quite awhile and liked him a lot too.
Gorillas might be my second least favourite species after anteaters. It doesn't help that most of the gorilla villagers are kinda nasty looking, like I feel like it's POSSIBLE to make a nice gorilla but they just...haven't. I think the lips are a big thing that throw me off. I guess Hans gets my vote because at least he has an interesting concept; his colours are appealing and yetis are really cool!!
i've come to quite like peewee! he's just a simply standard gorilla except he's much more friendly looking. he's also a cranky villager so that's a plus.
i really wish gorillas kept their shorter designs from previous games though, they were kind of cute looking in that weird sort of pug-like way. like their heads were as big as the rest of their bodies lol.
Honestly, I didn't vote because they're all pretty bad. Gorillas and other large apes are super awesome animals in real life so it's a shame that they're represented by that horrible model in the games. I really wish Nintendo would redesign them so people could give them the love and appreciation they deserve.
I disagree with the gorilla hate here. I like the model used for them & I think they accurately balance the look of a real gorilla with ACs round style.
Design-wise, Boone, Rocket, and Violet are my favorites.
But Jane was in my ACGC town with Alli in the acre next to the player houses and I really enjoyed that snooty neighbor duo. It's too bad Jane will probably never return to the AC series.
Also Hans was one of the first to move in to my acnl town that I started in the winter (thematically appropriate!) so he quickly became one of my favorite with his yeti design and smug personality.
