Favorite Halloween Movies

Happy October! I had a conversation with my friends about our favorite halloween movies and how pumped to watch them soon enough!

Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown topped the list by far!

What movies are you most fond of in this spooky time of year?

I mainly watch horror movies like A Nightmare on Elm Street and Saw.

Yes. I watch this one every year.

I also like "Something Wicked this way comes".

The Shining is one of my all time favorites.

The first "Carrie" was really good. I haven't seen the newer version.

I really liked The Visit. I know a lot of people thought it was stupid, but it made me jump and some parts were really funny.

Insidious by far, although having said that, I'm not at all a fan on horror films and so I tend to avoid them most of the time. Jump scares and such are not my thing!

Every type of holiday I watch Charlie Brown!! And Halloweentown is also one of my childhood faves!!

I usually also watch all of the Simpsons treehouse of horror!

I dunno, there are a lot. While I prefer scary, bloody, horror movies...Hocus Pocus is a classic, and I grew up watching it practically every year.

I miss having Chiller and just watching lots and lots of horror movies around Halloween. But Hocus Pocus is by far my fave Halloween movie ever!

Hocus pocus is amazing and brings back great memories of watching it when I was a kid. My absolute favourites are Haloween, Nightmare on Elm street 1-3, Pet semetary, Salems lot....I have loads actually. Been having a horror binge the last few weeks since I've been off work so I've watched most of them already

BeetleJuice or even Little Shop of Horrors. They ain't very scary but it has like Halloween based contest plus they're are hilarious...

"Halloween" I guess lol.. Idek I don't really watch that specific stuff depending on season but yeah that one is good, the original of course.

Halloween and Scream mostly, I guess.

I also like other movies that aren't part of a series, but that'd take a long time to list.

As far as movies that are actually about Halloween itself, Trick 'r Treat is the main one that I really like. The original Halloween and Halloween III: Season of the Witch are also good. Night of the Demons (1988) isn't amazing but I have a soft spot for it as well.

With all that said, every October I have a month long horror movie marathon and try to find and watch things I hadn't seen before. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I don't really watch movies most of the rest of the year, so it seems like a good way to celebrate.
