I never read anymore, but the book I have the most fond memories of reading is The Hunger Games (the first book specifically, not the whole series). I'm a bit ashamed to admit it's still my favourite since it's so like, that book everyone freaked out over in their preteens (if it counts I read it before it was popular and before there was a movie lol), but I remember while I was reading it for the first time, I was hooked every second, and I would rush to finish my work at school so I could read it under my desk. And after I finished it the first time (which took me like 2-3 days since I was reading so much) I immediately read it again two more times. I've never enjoyed a book so much and thinking about it makes me miss reading.

I never read books anymore either unless it’s for classes, but my favorite book series growing up were:

The Hunger Games series
The Divergent series
The Circle series

And my most favorite of them all to this day is the Magyk series by Angie Sage. I still have all of these books I’ve read and more in a book case that’s back at home. :)

I really liked the first Divergent book also, but didn't really care for the other two. I remember hating the second one with a passion lol. The second and third Hunger Games books were comparable at least although what happened to Peeta in the third book really upset me.

I love The Hunger Games! :)

My favourite book is Les Miserables by Victory Hugo. It's a beast of a book and a very challenging read, but it is the most beautiful story I have ever read. It has truly stayed with me.

I also love Maus by Art Spiegelman and the Sweet Tooth series by Jeff Lemire, both of which are graphic novels. Maus, however, is actually non-fiction, since it is autobiographical.

Sold by Patricia McCormick is a short and simple book, but it packs a lot of emotion into it. It's a novel about sex slavery through the eyes of a young child.

Those are just off the top of my head. I've liked lots of other books! I still read, although I do go through some reading slumps every now and then. But it's always something I try to keep doing since it's been such a big part of my life since I was just a wee lass and one of my passions. Hehe

I really enjoyed Rendezvous With Rama by Arthur C. Clarke. It's such an intriguing world that I didn't want to stop reading. Would definitely recommend if you're interested in science fiction.

Oh man reading this reminded me of how much i enjoyed reading the hunger games for the first time :')

Currently I'm in love with The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa! It feels so warm and sincere and i can't bring myself to finish reading it yet because i don't want the story to be over.

Aside from that i really enjoy Lemony Snicket books? I love his writing style! I loved reading the books as a kid but now that I'm older, reading it makes me slightly horrified because those are children!!! Why is no one helping them!!! They're very brave and resourceful children but they're!! Still kids!!! :((((

Also the Magyk books!! Those were great i really liked Beetle.

Oh also! The How To Train Your Dragon books by Cressida Cowell were very fun to read. I like how it's not just her characters but also the general tone of the books mature further into the series.

The longer i go on about books the more titles i think of ahhh i miss having time to read but off the top of my head there's also Good Omens, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Percy Jackson, The Land of Green Ginger, and The Song of Achilles!!

I really love to read classic literature. It can be a chore sometimes, so I pepper in lighter reads, but the deeper, more complex stories are always more satisfying for me at the end.

Some of my favorites:
- Gone With the Wind
- Phantom of the Opera
- Les Miserables
- Bram Stoker's Dracula
- Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
- Anna Karenina
- Madame Bovary
- The Hobbit
- The Lord of the Rings
- Anything written by Colette, but The Vagabond might be my favorite of the ones I've read so far.

I also love R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms series with Drizzt Do'Urden, although I started to lose interest with some of the later books.

And I'm very fond of poetry, so I have books by Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson, William Butler Yeats, and several others.

There's so many books i want to read but after like 2 pages my eyes hurt and i feel like falling asleep lol :(

I don't have time to read anymore, but when I was in high school/middle school I use to like the hunger games (2nd book specifically), divergent, the mortal instruments series, and the infernal devices series, and the city of ember

My favourite series' are definitely Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I'm also a huge fan of a series called Shadowmagic by John Lenahan. Less popular, but I've actually read them more times than LOTR or HP. Though if I had to pick a book that isn't a part of a series, I would say my favourite is 1984.

My favorite book when I was younger was called "Bud, Not Buddy".
i dont read anymore either

In the last 6 years of my high schooling I don’t think I’ve properly read a book once, however I did really enjoy The Crucible for some reason, I have no idea why because idc about historical literature at all, but I guess that’s the greatest extent of my ‘favourite book’ (even though it’s a play)

I did enjoy the Hunger Games series in primary school as most people, and I tried reading A Song of Ice and Fire (I love Game of Thrones), but yeah books aren’t for me : (

SOMEONE WHO ALSO LIKES GONE WITH THE WIND!!!
That was my absolute, absolute most favorite book when I was growing up! I watched the movie and had the soundtrack on repeat and of course read the book over and over, and it fueled me into liking lolita fashion when I was older because I was a kid and I didn't understand the parts about the war too well yet, just that I wanted to have dresses like scarlett o'hara's :))) I can't tell you how happy this makes me I've never met anyone who read/liked this book and they get turned away by how long it is when I recommend it

Did you read the unabridged version of Les Miserables? I have so much respect for you!! I tried it once to challenge myself and it was so difficult, he'd spend whole chapters just discussing streets or the street language of Paris T _ T

My favorite books are those really, really heavy ones which hurts when you throw it at someone when they ask you what book you are reading. Look at the cover, Karen.

I've been obsessed with Gone With the Wind for a very long time. I have all sorts of collectibles from the movie: posters, music boxes, dolls, Christmas ornaments.

I fell in love with the movie when I was like 8 years old. Like you, I loved the gorgeous dresses. I read the book when I was a bit older and loved the extra depth it provided the characters.

I've never shied away from books because of their length. I mean I've read Proust's Remembrance of Things Past for goodness sakes (average page count = 4000+) and I thought War and Peace was too short. LOL

I didn't even know there were dolls and music boxes those sound great :D I also used to seek out longer books just because they lasted longer; I didn't like how I'd finish average length books so quickly and then be left with nothing to read until our next bookstore trip. I agree that War and Peace was really good! Tolstoy really goes into detail when he describes characters and the scenes of Russian ballrooms fueled my kid imagination the way Gone with the Wind dresses did :D I haven't read Proust yet though I'll be sure to check it out when I have free time!

The Dark Tower series - Stephen King
The Talisman - Stephen King and Peter Strain
His Dark Materials trilogy - Philip Pullman
Watership Down - Richard Adams

A lot of others, but those are the ones that immediately came to mind.

Percy Jackson, that was the book series that made me fall in love with reading

also just wanna share, im reading stargirl rn, and it might make it to my favorites.

The Harry Potter series ofc :p
Also most of John Green's books, first and foremost "Looking for Alaska".
And "Before I Fall" by Lauren Oliver. This book gave me way too many feels. Wow. It might be an all-time favorite.
