I haven't been watching much TV recently, but these are some shows I really like:

The Walking Dead- Simply amazing (Not to mention the game)
Firefly- Kind of a space-western (which sounds lame, but it's really awesome) You'll like it if you like sci-fi. It only has one season and a movie, though
Scrubs- I haven't watched it in forever, but it's an awesome show
Clone High- Another canceled show, it's very funny
American Ninja Warrior (and the original Ninja Warrior)- Basically a huge obstacle course, it's like serious Wipeout. The people who go on this show are so physically fit and it's amazing to watch what they can do

I highly recommend Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's my all-time fav, I'm obsessed with it and I believe it's a show EVERYONE should experience. Dawson's Creek is another all-time fav but I only recommend it if you're into cheesy teen dramas because that's what it is. It's just a huge guilty pleasure but I still love it so much.

One of my favorite comedians, Bo Burnham just premiered his own show, which he writes and stars in, on MTV. It's really funny and well done, I suggest checking it out.
