Favourite Villager and why?

Bunnie's Shmoopy
Mine has been Bunnie for as long as I can remember. She has been with me for aprox 15 years in my Wild World town (still there I'd like to add). On a particular day I checked on her, I think it was Yay Day. I spammed her so many hearts and she called me her sister ♥
My favourite is Willow. I first met her in NL and I just feel in love with her design. I’ve had her in my NL town for around 8 years and she is the only villager in my NH town that I traded for and will never allow to move out

Mine is Fang. Back in the days of WW, I played on my friend's island and he had Fang in his town. I liked him. Then I got City Folk and he was one of my starting villagers. Loved that and he was my bestie on there for sure. Then I got New Leaf for Christmas one year and he was one of my starting villagers on that too!!! So he's been my absolutely favorite, and I was super disappointed I didn't get him for such a long time on New Horizons. February of 2021, which was so long to me because I had obviously wanted him on my island from the day the game launched.

mine's bianca, snow leopards are my favorite animal so i ended up having a soft spot for her. i just think she's sweet and looks super cute and huggable tbh

Mine is Bunnie because I loved her since I was little! I saw her in New Leaf trailer's and always wanted her. I remember my mother buying me a pack of amiibo cards when I was younger and i asked the register lady if it had Bunnie in it and it didnt but I still love her!! I DID EVENTUALLY get her SOOOOOOO many years later in an amiibo pack for Christmas and then I finally got Bunnie in my ACNL town and then later ACNH!!!! Felicity is close but Bunnie will always be special to me!
Coco. She reminds me of a girl I met back in middle school. She was into creepy stuff, dressed like she studied witchcraft, and had little friends because most others were intimidated, but she had a sweet personality. Coco's creepy, but creepy doesn't always mean bad. Plus, I find her relatable. She likes to read and nerd out about random things. She looks like the kind of friend to link you creepy documentaries, and discuss the details with you. Teach you how to play chess, and celebrate when you finally beat her. I miss Coco now...
Drift because he is a poison dart frog and frogs are my favorite animal and my favorite species of frog is the poison golden frog specifically, I have a soft spot for poison frogs in general
other key factors are Drift matches my current aesthetic the best of all the AC frogs
Drift is implied to have a tropical theme going on
I love his punk rock aesthetic for his house in NH and he's so cute but yet he plays heavy metal music 
He is so happy and adorable looking with that big smile how could you not love? I also enjoy Drift's jock personality
other key factors are Drift matches my current aesthetic the best of all the AC frogs
Drift is implied to have a tropical theme going on
- His name may come from Driftwood which is wood floating in the sea
- His European Spanish name is "Surfin" a play on the word surf/surfing
- He was an islander in the first two games he appears in, his official artwork also depicts him with a lei that he doesn't have in-game
- His old catchphrase was "Brah" which is surfer slang
- Drift's personality is jock this might be because Drift is implied to love surfing and surfing would be considered a sport(or exercise at least which jocks love both of those things)
- His Animal Crossing E-reader card bio is this: Drift is a colorful guy who always has a smile on his face. It must be all that tropical surf and sun that keeps this frog happy as a clam, because nothing ever gets him down.

I relate to him a lot I feel XD
He's definitely got an "artist" vibe (I literally looked at the graffiti walls in his house and instantly was like "oh! this guy's an artist like me!"); I also completely relate to his "crankiness" and sometimes find myself nodding in agreement with him
I LOVE his design; it's just so appealing and pretty and I love the pink tones in his palette as pink is my favorite color
He also has this weird tendency to be the most "self aware" villager on my island; he'll just point out stuff I was doing or make an observation that will completely catch me off guard XD (I once spammed a bunch of Reactions around him and a minute later I talked to him and he's all "why were you being so theatrical lol"

Sometimes I'll be looking for something (a DIY, clothing, etc.) and along comes Chief with the exact thing I might have been after (he once mailed me the red Holiday Sweater around December and I was like "OMG I've been wanting this!!

The CRAZIEST thing hands down though was, while looking up his entry on Nookipedia, I came across his New Leaf bio and it stated that Chief has a younger twin brother; I have a younger twin sister!
My mind was blown and if he wasn't already my absolute favorite by that point, that sealed the deal!
I love him to pieces, and I'm so glad he showed back up at my campsite literally the next day after passing on him while island hopping XDD It was fate! XDD

I've always been split between Pierce, Teddy & Rory since they're all jocks...but lately I've started to realize that Rory might actually be my favorite.
I first met him in New Leaf when I was visiting someone's town for signatures. The guy told me they had Rory moving out and I think I was just too polite to refuse adopting him at the time. I thought I'd kick Rory out as soon as I had the chance, but he grew on me!! His design inspired by the shiisa is actually SO cool. His moustache is amazing! His little fangs are so cute!! He also loves the sea just like me!! He's been with me for years. It's been a while since I checked on my New Leaf town but I really hope he's still there!
In New Horizons I ended up bumping into Rory again on a mystery island and took him in right away. He got a major upgrade in this game... like seriously he looks so handsome it actually melts my heart seeing him look so good. He has the music hobby and sings EVERYWHERE, I have like a hundred clips of him just jamming out. He sends me the best letters. There was one time where he actually replied like he understood me and it freaked me out a little. I put Rory's house by the dock since he loves the sea so much and it makes me smile every time I pass by and see him fishing or singing or just chilling next to Kapp'n... he's so cute.... god........ ;w;
The guy who I adopted Rory from ended up becoming a friend who is very dear to me. He isn't really into Animal Crossing anymore but we still talk sometimes! Most online friends come & go but I've know this guy for years and I think I'd actually cry if one day he disappeared. When I really think about it, if it wasn't thanks to Rory I might have never ended up being friends with him.
I could go on forever but I think this is long enough LOL. There's soooo many villagers in this game that I love so my fav might change in the future, but for now it's definitely Rory!!

Well I only really got into the game during 2021 even though I had it since launch, Fang is very cool and I understand why you would want him on your island, I don't think I have ever seen his house, what is it like?

I think mine would probably be Drake. A lot of it is probably just because he was one of my OG's in New Leaf, but he always came across as this "smug despite having absolutely no reason to be" type character that I adore. He's just adorable.
Bunnie is a close second. She honestly just has such a solid design compared to most other villagers that it feels like a lot of the peppy villager dialogue was written specifically for her and then unnaturally transplanted onto other villagers. She suggested in New Leaf that I should put my house next to hers and I had to take her up on that. She was very persuasive.

Mine has been Bones since the release week of the gamecube Animal Crossing. I got him quite early in my play through back then, and have had him in every AC I've played after that. Just an adorable design that reminds me of my childhood dog from long ago.

marshal has always been my number 1!!! i had him in my very first town in new leaf when i was like 11-12, and he was the one who always wanted to talk to me the most, and i was the most fond of his smugness !! i thought he was so cool.. lately though, tiansheng has been rising up the ranks, and i WISH i could have him in new leaf
