Features/Items that you wish New Leaf had

I thought of two items/features that would be super cool to add to New Leaf, so I thought; "Why not make a thread about it and see everyone else's ideas?"

So, here goes nothing!

1. A Garden Hose Public Works Project!- This would be a standard project that would come with the game. It would cost around 50,000 bells, and would be rolled up into a big loop in one place, like a regular garden hose. But, when you went up to it and pressed A, your character would pick it up, and you could walk around with it, enabling you to water flowers much easier and faster. It would be able to extend to the farthest edges of your town. But, when you were done watering, you would have to bring it back to it's base and roll it up. If you didn't, the villagers and you would trip over it whenever you walked on top of it and it would take points away from your Perfect Town rating. Isabelle would also discipline you about how you need to clean up after yourself.

2. A snorkel! This would be something you could buy at the island or Club Tortimer for around 40 medals. If you put it on while wearing a westuit, it would enable you to be underwater for as long as you needed to be (because of the tube-thing you breathe air out of). But, the downside would be that it would scare away the creatures more than if you were following it without a snorkel.

So, do you like my ideas? And what are yours?

I LOVE those ideas! Especially the garden hose. Let's see.... I'd like a gold pan. In the Iwata Asks about AC:NL, one of the directors talked about an idea they had for a gold pan for an item, so you could pan for gold. I think that would be really cool

Me likes the garden hose idea. I was really hoping there was something like a papasan chair in NL, but I don't think there is. ); Aaand I seriously wish having pets were possible... But than I realized "oh wait... That would almost be like slavery in animal crossing."

I definitely agree with you on the vegetables. I would love for it to be implemented. It would be smart for there to have been strawberry bushes since we have bushes now.

Possibly more holes and a metal detector to help find things such as gold and fossils.

Raking leaves in the fall would have been an awesome idea too. The rake would only show up in the gardening shop from September through November and you could rake leaves each morning. The more tress you have, the more leaves.

The ability to create unique K.K. Slider music for him to play, so you could make songs like those in real life, kinda like the town tune, but with way more creative capacity.

I wish we could grow vegetable gardens. I mean why not? In Spring you're able to buy cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, etc. You'd have to care for them like red turnips by watering them everyday and maybe use fertilizer to help them grow

Another feature I would love to see in the game would be the ability to feed your pets! fish/bugs should need to be fed or else they get sick. I just think that we should be able to take care of them some kind of way since we're taking the out of their natural habitat. If you don't play for a few weeks they could run away or something haha

Since I'm like an AC guru I guess I'm really just looking for more complexity. Like being able to log onto the little computer to send emails to friends, cooking/eating, haha idk. Basically little unnecessary things

I definitely wish we could cook something, like you could buy a bag of groceries from tom nook and cook what ever was in the bag that day or something like that...nothing too complex just for fun then you could invite neighbors over for a tea party, brunch, dinner party or pot luck or you could have a picnic that would be cool

And then after you rake the leaves into various different piles, you could jump in them. That would be pretty cool.

YES. I actually thought about this back in CF. During November leaves can blow around like the cherry blossoms in April. But the leaves can actually accumulate on the ground. I think it would just be a really neat feature and personally I wouldn't rake them up because I would just love leaves blowing all around my town

To a certain extent, this is possible. If you're okay at designing, it shouldn't be too hard.

I completely agree with you on what you said. I would love to see little details added in. It would make the game much more enjoyable.

I honestly think eating would almost ruin the game for me. Not sure why, it just doesn't sound appealing at all.

But raking leaves and then jumping in them would be SO FUN!!

I wish coffee would actually do something. It could make you run faster or something. Also I wish there was a radio that let us listen to K.K.'s songs in its originality, not some weird alternate mix.

Those are AWESOME ideas! They are very creative...I'm really impressed!^^ I would love to have a hose in my town to help water the flowers, and the snorkel idea sounds great.
Some of my own thoughts would be...to jump from the higher cliffs into the ocean (I don't think you can do that; you have to go down to the beach, right? Someone correct me if I'm wrong). It would also be cool if you could change your hairstyle whenever you wanted instead of always having to go to Shampoodle's. There are many more thoughts I have, but it would take me ages to explain them! I guess there can be some perks to the game, but there's always room for improvement.

You might want to check out the Harvest Moon series. It's got all that and more.
