what festivals/holidays would you want to make an appearance/be brought back? alternatively, what festival/holiday would you like to be revamped and why?

i think the cherry blossom festival could be a lot cooler in game and make it like an actual festival

I'd like the sports festival to return and we can participate in every single segment instead of just the aerobics and foot racing. I mean seriously, why can't we tug o war or whatever that other sport is.

I want the acorn festival to return, I was sad it wasn't in NL. Going to hold hope for the switch version though :)

I really wanna see the small holidays unique to AC again, like La-di-day and Yay Day. They added more life to the town.

Like Blaakat, I wish there were more AC-unique holidays. I also think it'd be cool if we had like 5 or so "holiday slots" where we could make a holiday and choose its activities/festivities like in TS4 Seasons.

It might be nice to have a bunch of AC holidays added - maybe though it should be stuff that doesn't get in the way of the whole day's proceedings. La-di-day is fine and all but it stops you from having proper conversations with your villagers. Maybe it should just be an added dialogue option to hear their song instead of talk to them normally on that particular day. Stuff like that, I'd be happy to be littered throughout the year, of course alongside all the main holidays. <3

The flea market needs to be back. I wonder if they did remove it in New Leaf because of the Re-Tail,
since villagers selling there now their items which they don't need anymore. Anyway, I'm pretty sure
they still could do a flea market, so I hope they bring it back. The morning aerobics needs to be back
too and AC-unique holidays are also a nice thing, but maybe then some new ones this time (to be
honest, I was never really a big fan of Yay Day or La-Di-Day).

I want to see a mix of real holidays and AC-only holidays/events. I think they should bring back the Acorn Festival, Bright Nights, cherry blossom festival, sports fair, and morning aerobics.

I also wouldn't complain if they brought La-Di-Day back (but Yay Day can die)

The Epiphany: It would be really fun to have this Christian holiday added. For those who don't know, it's the day the three wise men visited baby Jesus to give him gold, myrrh and incense. It's celebrated in several European and Latin American countries, as well as other Catholic ones with different types of baked goods, depending on the country. It's also common for the kids to receive small gifts on this day, so it'd be fun to receive some as well. It's celebrated on January 6th.

Spring Festival: We really don't have yet a spring festival, so it'd be fun to celebrate the arrival of spring, with lots of flowers blooming, butterflies and bugs flying, and in the main plaza some games or activities related to flowers or bugs. Everyone should be out, enjoying the spring weather. It should be on March 1st. Even picnics could take place.

Cherry Blossom Festival: We do have cherry blossom trees, but we lack a festival. There should be a festival on main plaza with cherry blossom rated activities or clothes. Maybe catching the cherry blossoms? It should take place on the first day of Cherry Blossom.

Beach Day: This could be a really fun day with the villagers hanging out in the beach, with music, playing games or beach sports. They could be swimming or just laying in the sand. It could be fun to get some cool summer vibes in this game. It could be any Saturday of July, but I'd say the second.

The Olympic Games: As the Olympics take place in august, it would be fun to have something similar to that game of Animal Crossing which had Sports Day, with aerobics, races, and other minigames.

Fall Festival: There should be a fun festival at the main plaza celebrating the arrival of fall. There should be some activities related to trees, or collecting fruits, bugs, or

Acorn Day: Just like in that game, the same idea.

Beginning of Advent: As the holidays are approaching, it's time for Advent, a day in which you should prepare yourself for Christmas. You should get a gift as well.

You should also be able to create your own events, or at least one celebrating the day of the town. You should choose the day in which it happens.

I would also like to point out that events should be more interactive in future games. Villagers should be more involved in them, and you should get more things than just furniture, like money.

These are my ideas. What do you think about them?

I want to see all the gamecube holidays and special events back!

I'd also really like a system to maybe create your own custom holidays for special occasions.

All of them. Literally every Holiday that's ever been in an Animal Crossing game. I live in the South, there's only heat here. I want all the experience of these holidays where they are celebrated in a vibrant season.

I also want there to be multiple events of each holiday, that way it doesn't get stale each year and which version of the holiday is random. Maybe free DLC in an update before the holiday that adds new items so you get new items in addition to ones you got the previous year. I want them to go all out with holidays.

I would really like to see all of them back personally. I never played the original Gamecube, but morning aerobics sounds really fun and I would love to try it out! :p

I want the sport festival during summer....that was cool

I hope they keep all the big holidays in NH as well as other special days that don't occur on actual holidays. That is one of the reasons why NL is so fun!

I want the big holidays to stay with some new, smaller holidays exclusive to the game. Something like a beach day in the summer given the island theme would be good.

Like Blaakat, I wish there were more AC-unique holidays. I also think it'd be cool if we had like 5 or so "holiday slots" where we could make a holiday and choose its activities/festivities like in TS4 Seasons.

Would definitely be cool if we could make our own holidays! I kinda doubt they would add that, but I'd be all for it.

This is a similar idea of what has somewhat been done before in NL but with a twist:

Instead of just giving your villagers gifts on Christmas day, on Christmas Eve I've always loved the idea of being able to dress up as Santa Claus & ride around in a sleigh with Jingle, delivering presents to your villagers homes via going down their chimneys. The trickiest part would be delivering the presents without waking them up. If you were to wake them up there'd of course be some kind of drawback, but yeah. :)

I already wrote it in a previous post, but I would like to see Chinese new year coming into this game ! It should be a festive week where everything is red ! For example, red lanterns in the city, Chinese-like dress/accessories... and of course, the famous fortune cookies ! Maybe tasks to do to earn them and access to a new set also Chinese-like ? I can easily imagine dragon danse with your villagers, fireworks at night... I know Nintendo is not Chinese, but this event is celebrated even in my country (Belgium) and sometimes it's very big !

Maybe bring some Japanese festivals? Its a shame during Tsukimi, Tanabata and Setsubun and we NA people can't celebrate it. Maybe bring back Cherry Blossom picnics like back in the Gamecube?
