Final Fantasy IV DS

Did anyone pick the game up yesterday? If so, how is it? I'm curious about how the remake turned out. I never played a game in the main Final Fantasy series(I own Final Fantasy X though) and I was wondering if the DS remake would be a good place to start.

Well maybe I'll get this one and 3... they seem cool, and I wouldn't have to be embarrassed playing a heavily Japanese influenced game on the TV... like I do with Okami.

Yeah, I just got my copy yesterday. You can't compare the DS FFIV to the DS FFIII. Your characters actually have emotions, there's decent use of the second screen, the graphics have somehow improved, there's plenty of v/o, the battles load quicker and are definitely more fun, and a big plus for me, this game puts up more of a challenge.

Recommended highly.

yeah I don't know if I'm picking this one up. I'm probably gonna have to choose between Dragon Quest IV and this, since I don't have the time to invest in two full-blown RPGs, and there's a 99% chance I'll go with DQ...

other than that, not too many games I want to get this year. in any case, since I have no money available for games (yet... that laptop fund can't grow by itself!), I'll have to ask my bro to ask for stuff for his birthday, and then ask for 3-4 games for Christmas.

-Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia (Loved the first)
-Animal Crossing: City Folk & WiiSpeak (Huge AC fan)
-Cooking Guide! (I'm buying it for somebody as a Christmas gift)
-Major Minor's Majestic March (Looks fun)
-Castlevania Judgements (Article in NP caught my interest)
-Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (Loved the first Castlevania)
-Sim City Creator (Love Sim City games)
-Sonic Unleashed (Looks interesting)

I think I might be forgetting some. :-/

Edit: Forgot Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades (The first one was awesome) and Guitar Hero: World Tour. I also forgot about Lips, Soul Calibur 4, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise., and Grand Theft Auto IV.

Yeah I don't know if they'll send you one... I haven't received review copies in ages, and neither has Alan. Apparently Chris was never authorized to send us any, and even though HookedGamers get a very decent amount of views, it's not enough for review copies.

So yeah... doubt they'll send you the game. I want it too, but alas...
