For all you newcomers here here's everything you need to know to get started (there are also some other guides I've posted links to. Please read them too:
1. If you want to change your avatar, create/edit a signature or edit your profile, go above to the top-left corner and click your username. (You should see one). Then go to profile options and choose the option you need.
And btw, the words you see below your name or Avatar if you have one is your current rank. Ranks are decided by how many posts you have. Here is a rank colour guide by xeladude:

2. Spam - Spam is a very common thing occurring here at TBT. If you are new, and don't know this yet, please try not to double post (and yet triple post!). Edit your post with the 'Edit' button at the bottom of your post instead.
3. Refrain from flaming. This is like having a big argument against another person. As soon as you feel they are getting on you, just quietly walk away. You can report people with the 'Report' button below your post too. This feature is to be used if someone posts explicit sites, etc.
4. Responsibility - Take in what you post. Think before you post. That's what everybody says and it's true. Sometimes if you don't it can lead to a flame war.
5. Try and use grammar as some people are picky about it. People tend to read your posts and answer it properly if you don't type like this: hi 1 typ3 1ike this!
6. Have fun! If you follow these steps, you will be a good member of the community and people will like you. Have fun and respect others at The Bell Tree!
