Choppy, Blurry, the frames aren't the same colors.

So overall it's a piece of crap.
Dude it's his first try.

It's called constructive criticism. Being nice and saying "oh, good job on your first try!" won't help the creator improve. You have to point out the flaws so they know what to fix.
But there is a way to do it without being a bit-

So, you're going to tell them it's "great for a first try"? Telling them what's wrong will help them know what to fix next time. Saying "it's terrible" isn't exactly mean, it's the truth. I don't see why lying is necessary.

This conversation is idiotic.

Anything that's been said is what I want to say. Color, blur, choppy, poorly done.
Thanks, but saying it's poorly done is a bit harsh considering it's my first, right? Sure it is bad on a normal scale, but saying that to someone's first ever is a bit harsh.
Not really, why should anyone go easy on someone because it's their first? You'll never improve if we just lie and say it's amazing, it's not.

You can't handle the trooth

If we sugar coated it, either you'd go on making poorly made gifs, or a fat kid would eat it :T

The blatant truth is sometimes needed. It can either shoot you down, or motivate you to make it better.

That's like judging someone who is just starting to read the same as you would judge an author or actor etc <_<

I'm not looking for arguments, just saying a few comments were a bit over the top, which they were.
