Fishing Abundant towns?

I know how luck can give you many rewards such as catching rare fish, having a higher chance at getting a gold or silver axe, shooting down rare items, etc. On Sunday I got a charm put on me for "good monetary fortune". I was nice to neighbors, did tasks, and even wore a four-leaf clover. I caught like 2-3 tuna in Furville, a friend's town. I caught about 3 lobsters, 2 koi, football fish.... all in a small matter of time. Most of this was caught within 15 minutes.
I still have the same charm in effect on me and I have been nice to neighbors, I have tried out feng shui.... and in my town, barely any fish. In other towns, there are less or more fish.
I was wondering if some towns are naturally made with different aspects such as more fish, or more bugs, etc.

I have also noticed this in Wild World and thought about it before, since I had restarted my town in Wild World over ten times(but I had no friends to play online with, so it was boring sometimes anyway). Some towns had a lot of rare fish and stuff..... It would make a good topic to research though.

i dunno...you could be onto something.

On wild world, me and my brother had 2 copies, and i would always see rare items in nook's like the Master Sword, Triforce, etc. and stuff in his town, and he would always catch all the rare fish in my town. :wintergyroid:

yes this has been a mystery to me since wild world and it could be possible that some towns have advantages and their own unique things.... I'd rather have fish! and with luck, rare fish!

Me too. I have become a PRO ANIMAL CROSSING FISHERMAN! Rare fish in the town would be awesome! That's how i make most of my money...

( Please....string FISH!! and LOTS OF 'em!) ^_^

Wow, I just started a new town(but saved my other one onto the computer) and I really think it is one of those fishing-abundant towns. I have no lucky items and caught a tuna. Earlier this morning when I was working for Nook and had no fishing rod, there was a huge fish in the river that could only be a stringfish. There is one fish after another every where I go...
I need to get my clover back from my other character!!!!!

when I started the game, I caught like 3 or 4 stringfish, but now that I have a bad karma, I can only get tunas...

you can go to the fortune teller in the city and she'll tell you what your town charm is, and when someone does whatever that charm is (pulling 3 weeds, planting 3 trees, catching a type of fish, whatever) they will get some type of luck.
the other day while i was playing, over 5 of my neighbors told me to go to a few of my friends' towns and to do certain things (their town charm i'm assuming). like for example Lily told me to catch a type of fish from someone's town, and it would give me TONs of fossils EVERYWHERE! another said that if i did someone else's town charm, i would find treasures more often, like balloons.
should make a topic on the guides/research forum and if we ever have a villager tell us something like this, we could eventually have a list of all the possibilities.

In my town if i walk along the beach i see 3 fish in 15 minutes...
15 MINUTES! and those 3 fish are all sea-bass's.

I have lucky cats and 4 leaf clovers, and i never hit vilagers but theres no fish in my town :[
