WARNING: mindless rant ahead!!!

I don't know if anyone else has felt this way before, but whenever there's a Fishing Tourney in Pocket Camp, I feel forced to participate in it whenever I'm in the mood to play the game, especially when the furniture available doesn't appeal to me and I've collected almost everything available in the reward list. If it means I can get event materials then that would be fine, but once I've completed all the challenges, it only gets worse.

For one, when I enter Saltwater Shores during a Fishing Tourney for the first time, the host will come up to me and I have to go through this cutscene and be given a tourney net before I can proceed. There's also tourney fish in the water that I have to clear out before I can catch the regular fish for any villager quests. (Thank goodness for the golden rod...) Sure, I can spend my Leaf Tokens on some regular nets, but what if I'm in the mood to save up? That could be problematic for me.

Villagers in my campsite and cabin(?) will also give me tourney fish as well, and if I have enough and go back to Saltwater Shores, the first thing that happens is that my fish is measured and I get my rewards. AUGH!

Just feeling salty about this since it's been getting in the way of my daily routine lately.

You can avoid the extended intro by selecting the bottom option of “I know what to do” (or something like that).

I like the Fishing Tourney the least of the three monthly events because it requires logging in on a strict every three hours schedule. That said, I cleared the board in no time this month and now I don’t have to worry about it. It’s just part of the game…

I cleared the goals quickly as well like you did, it's just that my problem is that I end up feeling forced to keep going even though I feel like I'm finished with the event.

To be honest I might have gone a bit too hard on this event. No lie, I was having fun completing the challenges and reaching the size milestones! I just made this thread to vent my frustrations during a not-so-good morning.

I kind of have to agree. I cleared the event in the first two days. To be clear, I think that it's very good that it's clearable in two days. That means that you can take the whole thing very relaxed, like check in once or twice a day.

However, at this point for me it's just annoying. I wish there was an option to turn the event off once you are finished.

I completly agree with you on this, you basically took the words right out of my mouth.

Whenever there's a fishing event you have to go through the whole cut scene of measuring fish everytime, then see everything add up. It's so long, and I don't like how you need to go through it everytime. Then like you said, as soon you enter your greeted by the host who says it's time to measure fish.

I like playing Pocket Camp to pass time, but it still Is a little frustrating having to not be able to skip that measuring squeance everytime. Plus Sasha brings me fish then I go back to measuring fish. Then when I get enough fish it automatically goes to the host to measure fish

I feel like it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't force you into the cutscene every time you reach a certain amount of fish. I can deal with catching a few extra fish. I don't need to see the same unskippable cutscene multiple times a day... And the lack of non furniture prizes like the gardening event has, don't get me started...
