FOOD for Villagers?

So ive realized that that you can gift food to the villagers and somethings you'll see it in the house or walking around the island with it but i've also notice you just cant give anything to whatever villager they like and dislike certain foods. my questions is, Is there a way to see what villagers likes what? like is there a website or guide? anyone please HELP!

well, I try to make it a habit of gifting 2 fruit per day to each villager. And after the update instead of doing DIY’s for birthday gifts I’ve started doing recipes. And as I have 2 player villagers, I do one each and still wrap. My villagers are always happy. I try to have the food being deserts and appropriate. A few food items are on display, but if they are not I head cannon they were eaten. I have never seen any villagers not like any food I give then.
