Food you didn’t like as a kid but love now, or vice versa?

I used to eat shrimp but for some reason I stopped. There are also several things I ate (like oatmeal for example) that I actually didn't like the textures of and as I got older, I stopped willing to put up with that.
Oh, I also no longer eat popcorn because 99% of the time it would get stuck in my gums and cause suffering.

I cannot remember if there was something I used to hate.. There were plenty of things I just didn't try but that doesn't count.

Food I didn't like: Mustard. I didn't like it on things and wanted ketchup instead. Now it is the opposite. I prefer mustard, even on things like french fries. I don't hate ketchup though. In fact homemade ketchup is better than namebrand ketchup. It has sweet taste compared to the manufactured kind that is way too salty for me. Mustard has do many varieties and is a lot healthier though so it is my go to spread.

Food I used to like but now dislike: Candies. I used to like candies such as Skittles, Reeses Cups and the like but now I don't like them. Too much sugar for my tastes. Too processed. So I ignore them in store checkouts and don't even feel bad about it. I like dark chocolate bars now and I only buy gum for the chewing rather than for the taste.

I’ve gone in waves with one thing, and that’s peanut butter. When I was really little i hated pbj sandwich’s so i had butter instead of peanut butter 😭. But after that i was fine with eating it in bars and whatever. Now im disgusted. The smell 🤮, the way it looks 🤮, taste (actually not that bad 😗) but peanut butter smells like dog food which is sooooo gross to me.

When I was younger I pretty much ate anything ✨(AND STILL DO-)✨ and wasn’t a picky eater! However, I never liked tomatoes or blueberries. Now blueberries are literally one of my favorite fruits that I eat daily. I even love tomatoes and snack on the little cherry / grape ones, really good on vegetable plates with hummus ☺️🫐 🍅

I used to only like a grilled cheese on wheat bread with velveeta cheese, which is a processed blend of many things. Not as bad as Kraft Singles. There are so many other nice cheeses that can legally be referred to as actual cheese.

I really tried hard to find an example, but couldnt. There isn't much I don't enjoy! As a kid or as an adult!

Even as a kid, I ate my veggies and all the "gross" stuff on my plate. Food is food! I am thankful for food... lucky to have it!
