When you're sounding out 一, are the "i" sounds as in "big" or more of an "ea" sound, like in "each".

Just curious to know...
 
It's like an "ee" sound. :') For example, my name in Japanese is written as ルーシー in Katakana, and it's read as Ru-u-shi-i. The dash just elongates the last sound.
