Alright guys, it's pretty obvious TBT doesn't ave much going for it right now. It can either keep getting worse or it can take a turn for the better. But for it to do that, everyone here needs to want it. Everyone. It's little things that have accumulated to make TBT what it is right now. Here's what needs to happen.

Help the staff out. There are basically 2 staff members, Odd and Storm. By helping them out, I'm basically saying don't give them (or for that matter) anyone else a hard time. More than ever now, it's important to be respectful of everyone. TBT needs to get that positive atmosphere back. There's no need to go make a post about all the crappy things about TBT right now... it's kinda obvious that there are a ton. But please put your ideas out there to make TBT better and more fun and lively.

And if you don't like someone, fine. Just don't reply to their posts, Don't even read their posts, if that's what it takes. Just ignore them. Although a conflict might be between just 2 people, it makes the whole forum look bad. And as much as some of you don't like new members, you need to have open arms to the few new members that trickle in here, and hopefully the masses that flood the place in a couple months. Remember, you're never gonna meet some person you dont like from TBT in person, so just ignore them... don't start forum drama and an argument and cuss them out or say something smart. Just be the bigger man and do nothing. It makes the world (of TBT) a better place.

And one thing a lot of people aren't doing is posting! I looked in the DS board, there hasn't been a new post for like over a month! AS long as it's something relevant, as long as at least one other person would think it'd be something cool to talk about, go and post. If no one replies, just try again another time. Don't get discouraged. And go reply to other people's posts. It builds the threads and they end up being more useful, informative, enjoyable, whatever... and no guarantee, but if you reply more, so will others... to your posts too. Go talk about what you wanna see in AC City Folk. Or about those Wii games from like a year and a half ago you were randomly playing. Or a commercial you saw for a new DS game. Or news you haerd about some awesome N64 game coming to VC... whatever you think is worthwhile... this is an Animal Crossing / Nintendo forum... so talk about AC & Nintendo!

So basically, go out and post more. Be respectful to everyone... if it's not nice, don't say it. And let people know about cool ideas you have for making TBT a better place. What do you miss from the old days? What has TBT never had that you like? etc. etc.

I've been looking at the stats of small forums and have seen that more topics ussually follows with more posts. Now if you see the DS board hasn't been posted in for a month then it begs the questions as to why none of the staff haven't posted in it for a month.

I often see staff asking things of members whilst not setting an example. It's quite silly and stupid if you ask me....which I'm sure you won't seeing as how few things change at member's requests. This also goes back to how slow things move along here and how things get pushed back further and further.

How's the website going?

For the past 2 years I've been going to small forum after small forum which thrived on a fixed community for a signifigant time. After a while they slowly but surely disappeared. The same has happened to TBT and you're asking members for things? You basically just said you aren't doing your job right either.

TNZ has been around this long because it is able to draw in new members, which I was a part of, and being able to keep users interested (not to mention changing the forum for the users).

But I doubt anything will be done. No, even if a staff member agrees with this post nothing will be done. This is as good as a fact. This has been happening for a long time and nothing's been done.

Anyways, you can, and probably will, disregard this as old stupid Propaganda Man just ranting because he can't have things his way. Continue asking members to do what you can very easily do because it sure as hell seems to be working!

This right here. One of the things TBT has failed in, at least in the past, is doing things to satisfy the user. You know the saying "the customer is always right"? Well, that fits in really nicely for forums. At TNZ, I revolve everything around what the users want, even if I personally don't like it. And that's why it thrives.

And I have posted a lot of suggestions for TBT, and I will continue to. I would be active and post, but like I said, I barely have time for forums, and the little time I spend is going to go to the more active ones.

Well, I don't play games nearly as much as I used to, so I have a lot less to contribute, Prop. Also, I've been a lot busier the last several months, and especially now more than ever (starting college) than I was a year or two ago. That's my excuse for not posting. I'm not an active member anymore, and personally, I contribute basically nothing at all to TBT. But, I'd hate to see such a valuable resource to so many people go down the drain, which is why I still care. I personally have nothing to gain... I never will be an active member here... but I'd much rather have TBT lively and fun than crappy.

And no matter how active someone is, if they don't have a positive mentality about TBT, it rubs off on people. And then everyone doesn't feel like posting... or being active... or anything at all...

So yeah, the staff could be a better example, and hopefully in the near future stuff will rebound... but any member, no matter if they have 5,000 posts or 50 posts can make a difference in TBT's community... and that's a fact... and everyone needs to realize this. What one person says or does can make a huge difference in bringing back a forum like TBT.

Now, you see, here's what you did wrong here. You made this post.

You spent time typing this post when you could have talked about Rock Band 2 or any upcoming game which asked for their thoughts. Hell, it doesn't have to be new either.

Either way, you are making excuses, which can be understandable, but not taking action.

I've only played Rock Band once and I didn't even know RB2 was coming out anytime soon... and actually, right before this post, I started a good thread on the DS board. ;)

I agree. I've pretty much left TBT because the only reason I continued to come back was to see the stuff Bul posted in the Gamer's Lounge[And I felt out of place when I left for a month and came back to... It's Current State.]. I only come back for my cousin, K-Dog. TBT's been like dead because of what seems to be the lack of enforced rules[To Me Anyways, I'm Sure Odd, Sporge and you are working hard].
