Free Poster Information :) UPDATE!!

So I have seen ALOT of comments and threads about whether or not we will be getting a poster with our game purchase. Well..I have good and bad news..

In the United States they ARE giving posters out on release day, however...they are only available to those who have pre-ordered the game or bundles at Gamestop. If you don't pre-order and you don't get it through gamestop you get no poster.

Also, there are limited quantities so depending on when you go to pick up your game/bundle there may not be any left. GET THERE EARLY!

Those of you who are having it shipped to you and not doing in store pickup.. I talked with my local Gamestop and they said they are not sure if you will have one mailed to you with your purchase or not however if you bring your reciept in you should be able to get one if they're not mailing them to people. ONLY IF YOU PRE-ORDERED THOUGH.


As for Canada I'm not sure (very sorry :[ ) but I've read in a few placed that EB games is releasing posters to. Under what circumstances I'm not sure. However they are also very different posters.

I hope that clears up some things I'm very excited about everything coming out with this game including the poster. Little less than 15 days left!!

Me too lol dropping my husband off at work that morning and gonna be at gamestop when it opens. lol

I like the US one more plus the posters in the US are usually made out of a cardstock instead of just high gloss paper. I still have my pokemon timeline one from X and Y release

I've often gone to pick things up late at night on release date. I've never missed out on a poster/extra so far, so it's unlikely you'll miss out. Good luck!

I'm from Canada and I didn't preorder my game. Maybe I'll get lucky and I'll get the poster anyway? XD

For reference, EB Games and Gamestop are owned by the same company (iirc, Gamestop bought EB a number of years ago).

Yes but they are still considered 2 different companies and they're definitely not giving out the same posters. EB has the 2 sided one and Gamestop has the other. Gamestop is the largest video game company in the United States where as EB games is the largest in Canada.

I might be able to get some extra (gamestop) posters and if I do i could either give them away to UK people or I could trade. Guess i'll wait to see if I end up getting them or not.

Ok so I ordered the N3DS system bundle with the faceplates. I chose to get it shipped to my house is there any way to change that? I really want the poster. So lets say tomorrow If i go to my local gamestop with my receipt I can get the poster then or do i have to wait until release day?

You might be able to go into your local gamestop and have them change it to in store pick up. I'm not sure so you'll have to ask them. However from what my gamestop told me, ANYONE who pre-orders gets a poster. They're just not sure if online orders will have it mailed to them or not. If it's not mailed to you bring your receipt to gamestop and they should give you one

What thing for the cards are you talking about? The reader for the 3DS? If you preordered it you'll still get a poster too

Hey guys, just FYI. There WILL be a midnight release due to another game coming out. (I don't remember which one) so those of you that preordered can also go get it at midnight. I'll personally be there at 10 so I can get as much hhd stuff as possible.
