So I really want to start making videos of all sorts of things, for stuff I am going to use my camera to film or stuff I am going to use a program that uses a webcam and insets in it your screen and records the screen. (I'm bad at explaining things...) So I wanted to find a free (if not super cheap) editing software that does a good job. Really I just need simple stuff like cutting up videos and speeding/slowing stuff down and overlaying voice over/music, I don't really care about anything fancy I just need the basic stuff, so I was wondering if anybody here had any suggestions for a decent software! Thanks in advance!
(Don't know if this is the right place to post this or not...)

You can find them all for free some way or another. I hear Sony Vegas and Final Cut Pro are good ones.

I used to use Windows Movie Maker. Now I use WeVideo. It's pretty much the same thing, only done online. So you can save to your Google Drive rather than your computer. You can use it for free or pay for it. If you use it for free, the only thing that's different is a few effects are locked, and there's a short logo thing at the end of each video you make.

I use Camtasia studio, it's perfect and has everything I'd need. It's really easy to use, too, but the catch is it's paid.

You can also use Sony Vegas, which is actually used by a majority of people, but I personally don't use it so can't say.
